If you surrender the dog, then you are surrendering the dog. They don't have to notify you of anything after that. That is the whole point of surrending the dog. Im sure you could leave your number and ask them to keep you updated on the dog, but they are a busy shelter.
They took a stray cat Ferrell who was hit by a car broke his foot and back leg gave the person who called a case number. They took him to vet then shelter she kept in touch with them. They don't euthanize any animals and they are strict on who can adopt. You will be charged. The animal will be given all shots and spayed or altered and a microchip put in his back of the neck.
Unfortunately that's a question I think you're gunna hafta call the shelter to find out. I would LIKE TO THINK they would alert u if your dog is adopted and u asked to be informed tho
