Really nice place to go for a walk. If you go at the right times you may see groups of manatee. On the weekends you can see the inside of the old buildings. And I've seen a good amount of cute guys out there (bonus! 😉).

Really good place just to talk. It costs nothing and is very relaxing.

Very clean and lots of areas to dispose of pet waste. Family friendly environment.

I've been visiting this hidden gem for years. Love it for the many walkways around the park (and all nicely wheelchair accessible) and the quiet place to wander among the trees. And the boardwalk to the St John's River is a must. FYI, location is right next to the excellent county dock/peer.

Nope. But with the field, historic buildings, signs, and hidden frogs 🐸 who needs a playground.
There is absolutely no charge and it is so beautiful!!! A lot of history. I recommend it highly!!!
Yes, there are two covered picnic pavilions. One of them has grills and multiple tables. There is also another picnic table that is not covered.
Becky, hello! Yes, there is a Ramada Inn and a LaQuinta within a mile and a half - both on Hartley Rd. just off I295 /San Jose exit. Also a Hampton Inn at St. Augustine Rd. at the St. Augustine Rd. 295 exit. Where are you coming from? Are you planning a visit? If so, please let me know because we are regularly open from 9-4 every Saturday, but I can arrange to meet folks passing through on other days than Saturday. Sandy for MMHS
Thank you for the reply. Actually we could see them pretty well. There we're several families there. It was very nice even with the light drizzle of rain. Much better than fighting traffic and crowds going downtown.
Alec, We have received word recently that the repair of the dock will begin very soon - early July. Sandy at Mandarin Museum
Yes
Yes, we saw many people biking......
There is still a lot of underwater debris from the hurricane making it quite tricky for a kayak or raft imho. But I dare say you can try
The grounds are nice, you could check and she if you could put up an open air tent. Also check out the Mandarin Garden Club. They rent for weddings, have indoor areas and gardens for great pictures.
