The management was awful and if those same managers are still there I'll bet it still is. I had nightmares about that place while I was working there, I was afraid to lose my job, and I almost always worked 16 hours because we were so understaffed. I basically lived there I was there so much. Weekends I was supposed to be off regular days I was supposed to be off. 16 hours when no one else would. And for the longest we were so understaffed I hadn't taken lunch breaks for 4 months since I had started, they then punished us for not taking breaks by writing us up, so we had to clock out for a break but work, and then clock back in. They said they wanted to speak with us but all they did was argue why we need to take breaks like ?? Two of the nurses were useless and wouldn't help if you told them you were going on break. The dinning staff takes advantage of the CNAS and have them do everything nearly, and for lunch the chef will make you pay for they food even though he's going to through it out immediately or save it to use again, ew. Pros: The residents are all almost amazing Cons: The Managers, you have to pay for the food they're going to throw away I honestly cringe, I cringe at how the residents get treated by the management and the night shift crew, I cringe at how the employees still get treated by the management. It was good for experience and the residents I loved and cared for, but the management just makes the place toxic. The management is very two faced and toxic liars

This is one of those businesses that is difficult to review because the care of your loved one can be a hot topic. However, my father has been independent living there for a year and my experience has been very positive. They give him respect and dignity. Everybody knows him by first name. Since opening their doors after the Covid lockdown they have gotten to know me as well. The front desk staff, the nursing staff, the dining staff and managers have all been very friendly. “J” is especially outgoing and gregarious. And Marla has been an angel! I highly recommend Harborchase.

We attended the Chef's program on the Chicken and Corn Chowder. The presentation was excellent, the food was wonderful, and it was great to receive the bag with all of the ingredients already prepared. We went home and immediately prepared this for our dinner. Please do more of these programs and do them more often. The director of sales does an excellent job with this program.

My friend Cynthia A is an independent contractor that was hired to provide spa services to 3 of the residents at Harborchase of Mandarin on the 27th of February. She has not been paid the $175.00 for the services she had performed. Harborchase of Mandarin charged those residents for those services the same day, but are trying to get out of paying Cynthia for her services. She has emailed and posted to their FB page. They have blocked her from FB. They reached out to give her a different email to send her invoice to and now they are not responding to that email or invoice. Cynthia has sent over 6 invoices detailing her services performed, it’s been two weeks. Are you having money problems? Why go through such lengths to not pay a vendor you reached out to and hired? Cynthia has worked for Brooksdale Assisted Living, providing the same services and they have never stiffed her out of her pay. #paycynthiaAharborchaseofmandarin
