Please NEVER see Nancy King for child therapy or Eileen Trunell for any kind of therapy. I did and this is my story I’m now brave enough to tell. Though I’m still recovering from the trauma that happened to me here, I don’t want anyone to experience what I did. When I was 13, Nancy King, a therapist here, made me angry on purpose as part of her therapeutic strategy? She said something my dad said to trigger me to see my reaction. I’m not sure why but I never went back to her, it was very unprofessional and very triggering. About four months ago I started my therapy journey with Eileen Trunell. (I’m starting to have an anxiety attack writing this, but this is crucial to share) I was not vaccinated at the time so I asked if she could wear one during our therapy sessions. She would agree eventually but would always laugh when she went to get it. I would ask her why she laughed and she denied it every time and say she didn’t laugh and didn’t know what I was talking about. This was gaslighting. She told me not to tell anyone or it could ruin her career but she had COVID and wasn’t vaccinated and never told anyone. This is risking the health and lives of her patients and is not okay. I should have left but I didn’t. She would also tell me my beliefs have been proven wrong and are very outlandish. I was fed up, next therapy visit I confronted her as soon as I sat down I expressed that she made me feel unheard and I thought what she was doing is very unprofessional. I told her I was starting to have an anxiety attack as it’s very hard for me to confront others. She told me to sit down and then said “you know, I think all your life you’ve nitpicked people” I didn’t want to hear anymore, I was not going to be gaslighted and manipulated by a therapist, my dad did that to me and I had a massive anxiety attack as I walked out the door and to my car. My heart rate was through the roof and I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I called my mom and she came and got me. But for a long time I was having anxiety attacks every day and I still to this day can’t drive or I’ll have one and it’s really hard for me to get outside. I lost my job because I couldn’t get through work without having one. Therapy is supposed to be a safe place and therapists are supposed to make you feel heard and respect your boundaries. I’ve talked to several therapists about this incident and they all agreed it was unprofessional and they were deeply upset this happened in their line of work. Thank you if you read all of this. I hope you find a therapist who values your time and listens to your needs. Just please don’t go to these therapists.

The counselor was wonderful. The office itself is poorly managed, and lacks customer service skills - both in person and over the phone. Gave them several chances, but after a ridiculous no-show fee, I'm taking my business elsewhere, and have notified our pediatrician that referring patients to this office may need to be reconsidered. Very disappointed.

Hi Ashley- Unfortunately, we do not accept Medicaid. I would reach out to Jewish Community Services or look up Medicaid providers on Psychology Today. I hope that helps! Thanks, Connie
