It depends on where you're relocating from. If you're already a US resident, beyond securing a steady source of income and a place to live, there should be nothing else "required", per se (though I highly recommend securing a reliable means of transportation as well since NJ's public transit system isn't as plentiful/wide-reaching as in other states, though it can also depend on which town/city you choose to live in).
