Large swimming pool. Breakfast and kitchen staff very outgoing. Coffee and water w/fruits available all day. Plenty of sitting areas outside with grills by the lake.

Yes it does and they have pin trading times as well.
Yes you can. I just linked mine this past week.
As the others said there is a place on the beach at the resort that rents most or all of the items you mentioned. I didn't pay attention to the prices, but a call to the resort should get you the information.
The dine in restaurant is breakfast and dinner. There is a grocery store with a deli and a poolside casual dining option. There is also a great pizza place right down the beach, to the north. It's located at the public beach entrance. Maybe 1/4 mile. Very easy walking distance on the sidewalk or the beach itself.

Yes there is a small Disney gift shop in the lobby area.
Yes but don’t go near the nests. They are roped off and/or marked
Yes. Also DVC discounts in gift shop, activity center, and most things at Flo's rentals
No unfortunately, they do not.
Yes the pool is heated. It’s like bath water. The ocean is chilly but tolerable.
Yes you can book a room without being a Disney Vacation Club Member. You can also rent DVC points from a reputable online broker. Availability is very limited.
We have been there many times in different seasons and not seen such an event. Sorry

Sadly, Sonia's is not there any longer. The new restaurant may, but I don't know.
Yes
Beach is perfect
Yes, they have a beach-themed character breakfast every Saturday morning ending at noon. We saw Pluto, Donald and Daisy both times we went. Reasonably priced and very convenient way to see some characters. They even provide paper for their autographs if needed.
Depends on the time you're going and your accommodations in December I had paid about $250 a day Ocean View in-suite Studio I had to pay because I didn't have any more DVC points.....😔😔😔😔 but it was differently worth the price I've have stayed so many times in the past 10 years using my points that it didn't even bother me to pay this time around this small resort is so nice & cozy *FOR ME* its worth every penny....🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗
They have chairs but the only problem is you have to rent them they're not free
I believe the only discounts are for dvc members
Seems rt. 3.5-4 to go across. But once u get there, time to enjoy. Especially the local breweries like @americanicon and @walkingtree
You need to drive to the center of town of Vero Beach. About 8 miles. Lots if good restaurants there.
For future reference for others, we just visited (December 30,31 2018) and we drove about 1 and 40 minutes from Orlando to Vero beach so renting a car would be convenient if you are planning to visit Disney world and the other theme parks, plus unless you are planning to eat only at the resort's restaurant you do need a car to go elsewhere as the resort is kinda on it's own private drive, I think they have bicycles for rent though, Sebastian bay is not far either but in my experience after walking all the theme parks going down to Vero beach I'm so exhausted I just want to be carried everywhere 😆 so plan to rent a car, use an uber or bring your own, my family enjoys driving so we did drive all over with a smart phone now days you can't get lost so have fun!
