My mom came to Brookdale MacArthur Park in December, 2021 after suffering a stroke. My entire family was so pleased with the care and attention my mom received during her short time there. I wanted to recognize the various staff and excellent leadership at that facility. Our first interaction with Casey Brown, Sales and Marketing, made a difficult transition with a physical transfer from Northern Virginia to NC feel seamless. Casey went out of her way to facilitate the actual transfer when there were issues with documentation, etc. My second interaction was with Carla Hayes who also went out of her way to help me with filing a claim for long term care insurance requiring detailed documentation. During her entire time at Brookdale, the front desk, especially Dawn was so kind and responsive anytime my sisters or I called. I am also very appreciative of the overall leadership demonstrated by the Executive Director, Carmen Scott. I was so impressed with the frequent and timely communication regarding Covid and ongoing activities in general. When my mom passed away in May 2022, several members of the staff, including a caregiver and the chef, stopped by to share their condolences which meant so much. Please share my thanks and appreciation with the entire Brookdale team.

Brookdale has taken great care of both of my parents for a number of years, and my mother lives there currently. The staff is caring and knows the residents very well, and they've done a great job keeping everything as safe and pleasant as possible even during the challenging months of the pandemic

My mom lived at Brookdale -MacArthur Park for 15 years which is located in a neighborhood of the same name. To me it doesn’t have that assisted living feel. It’s like a hotel with grand staircase. The atmosphere is nice, their food is good, the activities are plentiful. This location did a fabulous job through Covid. It was very hard on everyone. I recommend this location if you’re on the fence.
