I am appalled. No one helping patients with physical therapy, just printed papers of “exercises” to do on your own in a corner… no assistance. The billing is deceiving, even if you question them… they will come back with some shady excuse like “the male PA gets paid more because he has more qualifications than the female PA”. I do not appreciate the wishy washy “paid in full” idea, then learn months later it’s not paid in full…. By getting something from the collections firm in the mail. Would’ve been great if that was communicated at the billing counter. I was not a patient, but my mother was. I trusted she would get physical therapy and come back feeling BETTER. She felt no difference or felt worse (more pain) every session because it was NOT physical therapy…. Not one ounce. They do not care about the patients. And for the price? Save your money and DO YOUR RESEARCH. Do NOT waste your time or energy here. I am so upset. And now reading other reviews, we feel less alone! Doubt they even read these.

Fall 2021 I had a Spinal Disc rupture and was referred to Cary Health Ortho for physical Therapy. I went 6 times and each time they would give me a piece of paper and point to a "station" to do rounds of exercises either timed or by count. I always left in severe pain. Most of these sessions I spent riding a stationary bike. I would pay my co-pay at the counter each time- and they would bill my insurance. I finally stopped going because my back was not getting better- as soon as I stopped going my back significantly improved. Imagine my surprise when I get a collections firm letter claiming I owed another $450 in May of 2022! This is the first I heard of a balance due. I called Cary Ortho- they told me I had to work with the Collections firm-which I tried to do but they were useless- So I paid the amount under protest- as I believe they over-billed since I already paid at the counter AND the service I received was horrible and I was in debilitating pain getting worse not better. Should mention while I was doing the stations of exercise my Physical Therapist would sit behind a glass wall in an office catching up on emails and social media. I felt neglected and the excruciating pain upon leaving was a sign this is a terrible place for a patient to try and recover. I have had PT before in another practice and improved and was in very caring capable professional care. Please consider going to another PT practice and avoid this place- you will be in better hands.

Dr. Armour is excellent and I have nothing but good things to say about him (star rating is not about him). But the UNC Health running the business end is unethical and corrupt. They ask for payment at time of services and then send me a bill months later saying I didn’t pay enough. Just wrong.

So you offer a procedure only on Wednesdays and you’re booked up for almost a month and then you won’t even put someone on a cancellation list because I guess that’s too much work for you guys? Not a good way to start our relationship.
