My son is 16, he took the school course so he showed his pink slip of completion. I took his birth certificate and his ss card, I also took a utility bill. You can get his real i.d. instead of a regular license while you'reat it! so take an extra proof of residency..you need 2 ..add another one just incase...ya never know! I was told he needs 2 hrs of a driving school before he can drive with someone 25 yrs n older and a total of 6 hrs to take the actual driving test! Hope this helped!

Hey Sabrina, If you can do it online that seems best, exhaust those options first. When I went to ModestoDMV line was tremendous, if possible, try an appointment first-I think you can do it online. If you can, consider Manteca, Tracy anywhere with the fewest amount of people. Going in person is always a gamble, give yourself a few hours (maybe 3+). I hope this helps, good luck and best wishes! Also if you have a confirmation code you probably completed the first important step. You can call with questions to DMV. But, you probably knew that.

They are very customer cautious. When you arrive let them know (which it should be obvious) at the front desk and I am sure they wil be happy to accommodate you.
