I I need to renew my DL and I would like to get real ID. I went online last night and paid $38 for license renewal but I cannot asertain if I renewed my license and what I need to do for Real ID?

Also not taking appointments anymore. You need to go with your documents and DON'T FORGET TO FILL OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION! Then save the confirmation#. They will ask you for that. You don't need the application just the #. Oh and be prepared to stand in a long line.

You need to make an in person appointment at your local office. There is documentation you need to present in order to get your real id!! Cannot be done online Go dmv.ca.gov and click on my real ID for all the details and documents you'll need!!
