I checked in and went to my room. The room was dirty. Bathroom has mold growing in shower. Missing tiles, vents have years of dust on them, the door has caulking on it unpainted. The carpet has nasty stains in the room. The bed have stains all over them as well. Returned from dinner to witness a drug deal go down in the parking lot as I walk by with my wife and kids. Hallways look like a weekly motel. Hallways smell like pee. The only reason I stayed here was for the pool for the kids. Went to check it out and it “Out Of Order.” This place is a mess. Unless you are looking to rent by the hour or looking for drugs stay far far away….

If you can avoid it, do NOT stay here. The whole place reeks of smoke, the carpet in the room had disgusting red stains all over it and everything was filthy. The price to book over the phone was twice as much as listed on the website. There was a person mumbling to themselves sitting on the ground next to the elevators when we checked in late at night which was very strange. The employees are not very friendly. Also, the front desk never gave my partner their ID and Debit Card back after we checked in. We only were there for the night as an emergency so we didn’t even think to check when we left. We returned home and realized the woman never even gave back either card. I have stayed in numerous hotels and no one has EVER kept my ID on “accident.” We called the hotel because we live over 2 hours away, and the manager tried to tell us to come get them. We told them to send back the cards because we don’t live in Grand Rapids. It’s been almost 2 weeks and nothing has arrived, so they clearly didn’t even try to send back the drivers license. We canceled the debit card immediately because he said the cards had just been “sitting at the desk” for DAYS and that they had no phone number to contact. We literally provided a phone number when we checked in at the front desk, so they clearly don’t care about attempting to return lost items to anyone. We are now waiting for a new license and debit card to come in the mail.

We were not told at check in that hot tub wasn't in service. Also not told that there was a private party in pool. As a paying guest, should have been told. Pool was very cold, when we finally got to use it on our 2nd day there. The toilet in our room was broken and we only had 2 bath towels in our room, for 4 people. The entire stay there was a strong weed smell, that made us sick to our stomachs. There was trash all over the parking lot and in hallways. Breakfast was only 2 hrs and cleared up at 8 am. Not giving much time for a family of 4 to get up, dressed and down to the bkfst area. I would rather have slept in Mycar.

It was a horrible experience. When walking in, I just had the feeling that I was in a inner city vagrant shelter. The employees, the 'guests' who were hanging around the lobby, the CLOSED signs on all of the bathrooms, pool, breakfast area and more. When I went to my room, there was a large industrial fan in the hallway that must have been drying carpet out from a major leak. The hallway REAKED. I opened my room to quickly get inside, and when closing the door I realized that the inside lock was the only way to secure my door. No other chain/bar/latch was available. Normally, that wouldn't be a big concern, but in this place, I NEEDED IT. Stains on the carpet. Pot smells everywhere. Sticky stains on the bathroom tiles. I will say that the towels and sheets were clean and white. I was thankful for that. I could go on, but I won't waste my time. Worst hotel ever, for that much money!!! BEWARE of purchasing your room online as there will be no refunds once you walk in. Super horrible.
