My mother called to have a railing fixed on her house the woman on the phone asked what race she was took her info and said it would be months. I had her call back and she got another person on the phone she ask why was she asked about her race and the woman said that was wrong should have never happen and she checked she was never put in list. Now she is on the list. Hope they find that employee because if my mother didn’t call back she would have waited forever.

Over the past five or so years I have contacted PCA regarding services that they list on there website as being available for seniors. Once when my landlord wanted to sell the building and evict the tenants, once for a legal issue, and most recently for their senior companion program. The only service that they seem to provide is referrals from a mostly outdated database. I found them to be a totally frustrating waste of time doing nothing more than I myself could do with access to a computer and an internet connect. Instead of thinking de-fund the police the focus should be on de-funding some of these big-box nonprofits with their 1970's and 80' models of operation.

Make sure you have the correct number. They are there starting at 8am , Mon to Fri. If you get the automated system follow the prompts, or stay on the line and your call will be answered by front desk. Tell them what office or person you are seeking and they will direct your call. PCA only closes on holidays and bad weather days .

That's a question that's really subjective. I'm a retired mental.health professional. I would suggest you to contact the primary agency responsible for your loveone's care first. If not satisfied, contact the appropriate county agency responsible for advocacy services.
You would need to contact your medical insurance company to confirm that.
You will be referred to legal aide or the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Most questions you have will be answered by a qualified staffer.
Call or go to tenant union call turn or community legal services
PAC especially helps those of us that are less fortunate.
There is a specific criteria for the category of "disabled' housing that must be met under HUD guidelines.
Well now, that's quite a common practice unfortunately or fortunately between the patient and caregiver. The remuneration wasn't very well thought out. As long as there is mutual consent, there's nothing you can do. The burden of proof is not easy to distinguish.
Unfortunately homelessness has no age barriers. Senior advocates can point you in the right direction to those who can help. AARP can be very helpful.
I would imagine periodically employment opportunities present themselves at the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging. Check online and submit an application and resume for review to their Human Resources Department.
PAS will provide assistance with meal preparation, hands on bathing, cleaning, dressing, medical escorts, grooming, laundry, and shopping.
For you to qualify Waiver, Option and other services, the County Assistance Office would like to know your financial information 5 years front and back,
And legal residents, Green Card holders. But if it is an emergency please contact PCA hotline more information.
You have to live in Philly. Call senior services in Delaware County.
I'm not quite sure how that goes
I am not sure.
It's a Church in the Philadelphia Cooperation for the Aging at 642 North Broad that's news to me never knew it was a Church in that building
If you're referring to Senior Living Homes, PCA can send you a booklet. Ask for housing assistance for seniors 55+ then you can go to the places directly and put in an application.Just to alert you...there are waitlists at most of the locations.
Are you renting
Please take time to call the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging. They helped my mother in to a good nursing home when she needed it. They assess your needs and help with the paperwork
Oh dear. You had better call them before they close.
There is a state agency capable of providing oversite. I suggest you refer anything concerns you for review

You can call the people that they're working for, because you have a right to change worker's if you don't want the one you have now. Please tell them what's going on. This person doesn't need to be watching anyone doing stuff like that to them. You can also call Your case manager or coordinator.
Try calling the Philadelphia Croproation for the Aging
