I was a hotline counselor for 5 years with this organization, being a battered women and almost murdered! I was so glad to give back, I hope while volunteering I was able to help someone else. Ramona Perry Butler ♥️

Unprofessional therapists that lie and are not supportive or professionally equipped to REALLY help abuse survivors. Therapists avoid sessions for months and months, ignore therapy requests and also FAIL to provide telehealth sessions as scheduled with ZERO contact to client. Donnell Reid was my therapist. Seek your therapy elsewhere. They don’t care about you, just a pay check.

I was counsiled by Hero (Etto) at WIT about 7 years ago for emotional and financial abuse. It was such a comforting and safe place to talk about my feelings and to know that there's a process to go through to get to the other side. Hero (Etto) was so very helpful and wonderful and I would recommend WIT to any woman left feeling lost, afraid, and vulnerable as a result of being in an abusive relationship. You are not alone.

Women In Transition is not a shelter; we provide counseling, referrals, and other support. If you are in crisis, call the toll-free 24hr Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline at (866)723-3014.
I hope that you are ok and that you found the help that you were looking for Queen.
Yes they take women with children..... they are there to help all women with needs
You can contribute a donation or if you have a activity or hobby you would like to share. Their open to it like say women empowerment workshops, crochet classes, poetry and even budgeting. You can ask to speak with Ms. Irene Brantley the Program Director if you have any questions you wanna run by her?? I attend support groups there with other women also. And they have free childcare too.
Jessica, it isn't a shelter, but they can help find resources to assist with emergency placement, unfortunately they are not open due to the holiday. They have a hotline to leave information and someone will contact you.
Women In Transition doesn't accept clothing donations due to the size of the facility. WIT recommends reaching out to Our Closet, a program of Jewish Family and Children's Services, or Career Wardrobe. Both of these programs are WIT referrals for providing survivors with clothing. If you would prefer, Women Against Abuse does accept new (not used) clothing and bedding for their shelter residents. Their business office would be the right contact to reach out to.
Maybe they don't watch these Google community questions. Try contact them directly ,see here. https://www.helpwomen.org/contact
