Bit of a hike to the waters edge, the water is definitely worth it.

THIS PARK IS NOT FREE IN THE EVENINGS. Great place to go. Nice employees but if the kiosk is closed and you do not pay via iron ranger you will risk a $75 ticket.

Camped there over night. Be cautious, 90% of sites are in hills and no shade. So know that your tent will be at a slant. The lake is low like in CA right now, so be prepared to WALK to the water. Beaches are sandy no need for water shoes, unless your sensitive to sand

This Is a sweet little spot with lots to be seen and enjoyed. We spotted a couple bunnies running around on our walk down to the water. The scene is lovely and the sand is nice for the children to play in. This is a great place to hang out!

Yes, they do accommodate a 40 foot rv.. as we have a 39 foot. Thank you
Seniors get a small discount on camping fee. Difficult to get site unless you go through reserve California, must make reservation for at least two days in advance and if you do first come first seve it doesn't mean you can stay in site if available for that day because it may be reserved online for any continuous days. 1800 444 7275
Yes on leash. In the lake off leash
I'm guessing but I think it's because of the AFB that is near by. It's an active duty AFB
Is campsite BP63 available for 1/30 -2/4 and how much would it cost
There is a 7 day maximum for stays . It costs 28/day
There's no electricity outlets but our phones worked during our stay..just have to use your data.hope that helps
Not really. For that you would need to travel a couple hours away
By the left side of the kiosk as you come in. It is $12 for the dump site. The $12 does not count towards day use so it would be an additional $12 to stay in the day use. Though, if you do reserve a campsite the dump site becomes free. Any campers, on the RV side as well as tent may use the dump site free with their reservation.
I paid $12.00 for day use and $56.00 for RV hookup........its help price if you have the Golden Bear State pass, for disbled or income eligible persons.
Yes day use pass is $12 and they have picnic tables and a beach on the lake with bike trails too.
Thanks Katy. I was looking for tent camping sites.
I think I paid right around $50 for full hook ups. I think dry camping was $38 and hookups was $48. They are releasing water now so the level has gone way up. I may try going back again soon.
There's lots of shade though out the entire campground I believe every site had shade this year
No. You must pay at the "Self pay area", or risk an expensive fine. If you don't have exact change, put in enough to cover the site and collect your change at the kiosk in the morning.
Yes
I dont think so. I didn't see where you could if you are able to
Ur best bet is the bathrooms by camps 35-38 those are the only ones i know for sure used to power my power pack in there not too long back but youll have to sit there and watch the bathroom lol i put a little note written in sharpie said please dont touch and boom hour later had power lol. Next time im bringing a power jumper with usb outlets on it. Just a thought for the future. Oh and p.s not sure if other 1s do but i know the next bathrooms up the hill deffinitely do not have outlets theyre all capped off.
No there's not, but you cannot enter past the kiosk station. They will have you drop off in the turnaround. If the park is at capacity for vehicles, then there are no entries even for drop offs.
Beals no longer has a boat launch. Go to granite or Folsom point for the next closest boat launches.
You have two options: call or go online to reservecalifornia.com to reserve a spot at least 48 hours ahead of time, or show up the day of and reserve an available spot right then and there (same day reservations open up at 2pm so that's the best time to secure a spot).
There turning boats away for the 4th to full. But call and see if people left the lake
Check in is always at 2 and check out is always noon
Folsom lake Beale point
YES, only the "Golden" Poppy pass works in Northern California. The ones from other regions of the state will not be honored.
I recommend checking State of CA parks and recreation website for Beals Point for answers about camping fees.
Yes. Fire pit with a grill connected.
