This location is my least favorite Blood Donor location. I always feel like I am not wanted or needed here. The large woman here is very abrupt and rude.

I love everyone at the American Red Cross. These are the best people in CNY. We are hosting 3 blood drives in December for the Red Cross on 12/17, 12/24, and 12/30 at the Dewitt Community Church and Northeast Medical on Christmas Eve. The code for our drive is DEWITTCC and NEMED. I encourage everyone to download the Red Cross blood app, call 1-800 RED CROSS, or visit REDCROSSBLOOD.org. Thank god for everyone at the Red Cross. We post our blood drives on Bottles For A Cure on Facebook. Thank you to everyone who donates blood regularly, and thank you to the wonderful people at the Red Cross in Liverpool. We all love and admire you so much! I encourage people every day to please donate blood to help cancer patients and people battling COVID-19. The American Red Cross has a wonderful staff and team that make you feel like family.

This Red Cross donation center is filled with the nicest staff. From the moment you walk in to the minute you leave, you feel welcomed and well taken care of. Even with the masks you can still see that the staff are smiling and they are so quick to help you! Shout out to Patsie for helping me out today! I’ll definitely be back to donate blood.

Is the NO WEAPONS ALLOWED SIGN still on the door?If it is i'm not coming back. They say it's for the safety of their employees. I told them that noone is safe when rendered helpless. Shooters look for signs like that. I'll be back when signs gone

I'd recommend downloading the app and completing your Rapid Pass profile. It will save you a ton of time. After completing your profile, schedule your appointment online. They will try to honor the appointment time as much as they are able.

How much do u get paid to donate blood

Todd Long | Sep 22, 2019
Canig Etawoot | Sep 22, 2019

There are no cash payments, but frequently there will be electronic gift cards offered. Also, if you donate a certain number of times a year you can earn gifts like water bottles, hoodies, and stuff like that.

I work in an office of four people. We would all like to donate, is there a way we can schedule all four of us at the exact same time?

I would contact the center directly. There are likely several variables that would affect the answer.

Does donating blood hurt ?

Elk Hunter | Sep 22, 2018
Dan Ray | Sep 22, 2018

Depends on the donation you do. A normal whole blood donation is 20 minutes tops, and doesn't really hurt past the initial needlestick (pretty much the same as getting a shot). Double red or platelet donations are longer and involve taking blood out, filtering it, and putting it back; they get more specialized donations that way (double red for trauma, platelets for cancer patients), but the donation is more difficult. Long answer short, yes, a little, but usually not very much, and it's a darn good thing to do.
