Nice little cinema easily accessible via the main street. The staff are friendly and you are served quickly. The prices for tickets and food/drinks are relatively low. But the cinema hall is a bit older. Nevertheless, very comfortable armchairs, in which one can easily lean back and enjoy the film. During my last two visits, the performances were very empty (max. 5 people in the entire hall). If there are more people attending a performance, it is advisable to come a little earlier due to the free choice of seats.

Need more space for comments - so how about those matinees for us retirees who are always looking for something to do on a slow afternoon. You should re-think your policy.

You do realize that cities do not build theaters. Private companies build them based on the market. With 2 theaters in Lee's Summit, one in Harrisonville, and several others within a few miles the is not the draw for a bigger theater. If the are enough people creating a need for movies in the morning I am certain the theater would open. But without demand the costs of being open are much too high.
Any rated R movie will require you to be 18 or have a parent/guardian accompanying you.

Adult evening tickets are $7.75, child evening tickets are $5.75, and senior evening tickets are $5.75. Matinee tickets are all $5.75.

No but the seats are super comfortable and there is a lot of space for people to come and leave without you having to move. I would rather go here than any other theater.

I assume your kidding, right? Theatres make little or no money on ticket sales, concessions are high because that is where they make a profit, and not everyone buys concessions. If you want a nice theatre, buy some concessions, that is how they keep the doors open. Or you could open your own theatre and let everyone bring in their own food
Quaint theatre with very personable staff. The home town feel it offers compensates for it's simplicity.
