I read a few reviews and many raved about it. A lot compared it to mom's or grandma's cooking. It's definitely a hole in the wall place. It looks like an old house that was converted into a restaurant. Inside it opens up into a large area with plenty of seating. There's another area up a set of steps going toward the front of the place. There are rows of coffee mugs along the opposite wall with names of locals that probably frequent the place. The breakfast menu is typical of most places. Eggs, bacon, and biscuits. I ordered a coffee and water to start. Immediately I could tell the coffee was going to be bad. It looked dark in the pot but once she started to pour it looked liked tannic water. It hardly tasted like coffee and adding cream, as I do, only turned it into a different color. I ordered a special which gave you 2 egg, potatoes, gravy, biscuit, and your choice of sausage (patties or links), or bacon. Everything I ordered looked good. The potatoes had a nice crisp to them like I like them. Sausage patties were a bit on the dry side. Eggs, over medium, cooked perfectly. The gravy was a bit lackluster but the biscuit was big and fluffy. The food itself was a bit bland and I seasoned it up a bit. Overall I wasn't that impressed with it. I would probably go back if I were in the area but it would not be my first choice. I saw on the menu board that they had daily lunch specials. I would imagine more of the same. The service was fine and they came by several times to refill my coffee cup. It, however, did not darken it any.

Big portions, delicious food and great price. Our waitress was so nice and sweet. For 2 people ordering willy nilly bc we were really hungry, spent about $30 without the tip included

I had the party melt with seasoned fries. The fries were perfect. The party melt used a white cheese, burger patty, and rye bread which was an interesting take. Service was on point with refills and food came out pretty quickly.

Great out of the way place. Nice and clean. Friendly. A small menu but tasty. Best bacon I’ve had in a while.
