I went to Al's for the low price of the service on my bike. After complaining about noise after the repair, and they're trying to fix it for 15 minutes I was told that it needed a part which they originally said it didn't need. I bought and they installed the part and it still wasn't working right. I'd have been better off going to a more expensive bike repair shop to begin with. One thing they never even mentioned was the possibility of taking a ride around the block. Had they done that they probably have had a better idea of what was wrong. Finally I was told I'd be called when the repair was done after they didn't do that I called and found out it was the use of the bike that I lost at a direct cost. I'd have saved much time and effort using the bike rather than walking had I known it was available.

Decent selection, some serious knowledge, decent prices... If only they were a little friendlier, I'd make a point of taking more business to their store than to websites.

I like the store in general they’ve got great items I’ve spent a couple thousand dollars there and for some reason today I felt like I wasn’t welcome in the store the guy at the counter with white hair short on the heavy side well he didn’t seem to like me being there I was talking with him! And he made me feel so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave I was gonna look at some bikes but I felt very uncomfortable so I had to leave never have I ever experienced this shopping for things I love

Called to check about stock for slime tube for my size tire. Was told there is plenty in stock. Ok. No suggestion to put one aside for me. Fine. Get there 48 hrs later via bus and no slime tube in stock. I had to pay extra to get slime added. No apologies from staff. Bad customer service. Come to find out they never put any slime in the tube. Charged me $5 for the slime that was never put in the tube. Wont be spending money there again.
