Need to make appointment
I agree....try making an appointment online for either Gillespie St. or in Lumberton....its a little bit of a drive. But well worth it. We got an appointment in Lumberton for the next day. No wait it took 27 minutes an we were done. Just a suggestion

No, you have to go online to ncdot.gov/dmv and make an appointment. If you already have a license/id issued to NC then they have this thing called MyDMV that should help you with renewing your id/license online.

Your best bet is to schedule a time. They are not doing walk-in.
