I like to share my experience living at Colonial Parke apartments over 7 years ago. I will try to be brief for you , talking about the team that works to support the complex and the features that you will enjoy. The colonial parke team works very smart everyday setting all kind of details to make you feel in a community from monthly newsletters, events, games, community billboards, outdoor amenities, gifts, book sharing and they don't stop there, they keep adding wonderful features that keep us at the edge of what is next! that is good! -thanks to them. Before I continue. Let me warn you that addressing my favorite features may lead me to create a long list and you don't need to read them all. Although, if you are looking for a good place to live and give yourself some quality of life; one/some of them may help you decide to come and become another wonderful neighbor. Allow me to mention them for you; first, the park feeling with those beautiful big trees like the long leaf pines, oaks, sycamores, or the crape myrtles which you can see that attract all kinds of birds (blue birds, cardinals, hawks, finches, and other migratory species), squirrels, frogs and even turtles; setting the perfect park environment to grill a delicious meal in the afternoons or even delicious s'mores or just hang out outside taking a phone call rocking in the hammocks, get some physical activity walking around, jogging, setting your mat in the grass to perform some calisthenics/yoga exercises, play tennis/frisbee, enjoy your dog at the dog park, swimming in the pool or taking it easy feeling the breeze while you swing yourself in one of the kiosk, conversations with the neighbors. Oh, almost forgot to mention probably because I feel its granted. since everyone is outside talking to each other - the campus feels really safe. I did warn you :). Perhaps, I like to emphasize that this environment allow me to relax finding the focus to solve my daily challenges even making me more productive. I said me. But, everyone of us deals with a lot every single day and I hope this tip help you, too. If you still reading as a bonus let me confirm yes as you may notice; we are close to everything which make it convenient to walk to everywhere allowing you to save in gas :), either because the short drive or riding your bike around like some people do by riding to UNCW. Also, uber/lift swarm the area making it very easy and cheap to go for a drink to downtown. It is a review that I hope facilitate your difficult decision when you are planning to move from someone that has lived here for 7+ years ago.

We had an excellent experience with the management at Colonial Park apartments. They were always available for questions. We moved from out of state and they made the process very simple and accommodating. The grounds are kept neat and clean, sufficient parking for all buildings and affordable. The 2 room apartment provided plenty of space. Shout out to Robin and Arielle for all of their help.

I lived in two different apartments on this property, both of them were two bedrooms. This was over a span of approximately 3 years. The first apartment was the non-upgraded version and was on the second floor in a corner unit. This unit fit all my needs besides having upgraded cabinets, lighting, and appliances. The second apartment was a first floor upgraded corner unit. This had all the same amenities just with upgraded cabinetry, lighting, and appliances. Overall, I am providing a 5-star rating for how Colonial Parke's Management and Maintenance Teams treated me while I was there. They were always more than willing to assist me with any problems that arose while I was there. I am not going to say I never ran into small issues while I was living there, that would be unrealistic. Every time I did have a small issue, both Management and Maintenance went above and beyond to try to resolve them. The customer service that was provided definitely made up for the small issues I encountered. During my time there, the property was always being upgraded. The roof was completely replaced after Florence and was continually upgraded if other wind storms occurred. The pool was updated along with the grilling area, where they added a pergola. The Dog Park and mail center were upgraded to include shaded areas. Picnic tables and grilling stations were added all over the property, as well as fencing, repainting, and general maintenance. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into maintaining the property and it is definitely noticed and appreciated. The only item I want Colonial Parke to address is the parking lots. I understand there may not be a solution to this issue, but the parking spaces are tiny and I have had my car dinged multiple times in the lots and hit 3 different times. This also comes down to the drivers that reside there, but the parking spaces being so narrow definitely does not help the situation. I would recommend redrawing the lines to provide bigger spaces, as there is enough lot space to do so. Residents may have to walk a little farther, but I would have rather walked farther than repair my vehicle 3 times.
