What a beautiful theater and experience! Parking was easy and free! Singing in the Rain was a very fun play. I wish I could afford to be a season ticket holder! Then I could see all the plays! Took my mom and she LOVED it.

This was our first time coming to the Hale Center Theater. I was absolutely amazed at the quality of acting, the atmosphere of the theater, and the special effects! We came here for Singin' In The Rain, and they literally made it rain on the stage for 10 minutes for the iconic song. If you're considering coming, do it- you will not be disappointed!! Loved every minute of it.

Gotta love Hale Center! School of Rock was a blast! I've been to Hale Center a few times and it never dissapoints. You'll always see a great performance. The singing will be on point, the acting and dancing will be great, and the music will sound good no matter where you sit. If you've never been to Hale, go buy some tickets.

I just watched Treasure Island and it was amazing!! It was incredible how they used the stage and props. The stage was even surrounded by water and it was definitely used. The acting was so good too. I brought 2 of my teenagers with me and they kept saying how much they loved it and how much fun it was. The theater itself is beautiful and so well kept. The staff is friendly and willing to help. I have nev been to a live theater where they allow snacks and drinks inside. So that was definitely a fun bonus. I am so glad we have such amazing quality love theater so close to home.

The theater is slightly shaped in an oval. The East and West sections have the widest view to make it look larger and the East section is my favorite one :) and I like to sit in rows 5-8 to get a good view of the screens as well without having to look up in the closest ones 👍
Yes, our parking garage is open and ready!
Aida, we just saw A Christmas Carol before Christmas. It was amazing!
When the parking garage is complete in December handicapped parking will be on the ground level for direct entrance.
You have to call the office. They usually let you do one date change per play for free and charge a small fee for any additional date changes for the same play.
These questions aren't seen by the theater. Call them directly.
Lots of great answers here already - no dress code - you’ll feel most comfortable in a business or smart casual style.
Give us a call at 801-984-9000 and we are happy to exchange any tickets up to 48 hours before the performance. And that service is free to a season ticket holder!
Row 8 would be perfect!
Though we usually only do plays and musicals, we will be doing “An American In Paris” which is largely dance this spring.
The nearest TRAX station is about a one mile walk from the theater. The 218 bus from that station drops off about a block from the theater as well. From the South Jordan Frontrunner station you can take the 217/218 bus to the theater...about a 5 minute bus ride.
Last time I went, the Sandy City Building parking lot is being used as parking for Hale Center Theater. They are building the on-site parking still.
Sandy Ciity Hall across the street. Depending on how far away you park it takes about 5-10 extra minutes to get to the theatre.
There are few, we ate at cracker barrel across the street after a show :/. But if you drive about a block, Green Papaya / Fat Fish is a local favorite. There is a ramen shop near there as well.
You can chose your seats.
All the seating at Hale is good it's theater in the round.
@Don Sorenson. Keep trying. @hcc has been horrible this year communicating with their patrons. Partially due to the pandemic (Covid-19), and partly because they just don't understand basic business to customer relations. Best of luck!
Just a little over two hours with intermission.
Hello Raegan - our aerialists are hired at an audition before each show requiring that skill. Our upcoming production of TARZAN is already in rehearsal. We anticipate the next show requiring the skills of an aerialist might be next fall with PETER PAN. Watch hct.org for audition information.
Hi Tab, we have worked with the state and Salt Lake County Health Department to develop a COVID-19 safety plan which you can find on our website at hct.org. We are seating side by side where all participants are required to wear a mask the entire time.
They may have them on call. Call them and ask them.
I have a brother who works for Hale center theatre. He said that they are closed effective yesterday for at least the next two weeks.
Just NW of theater. Civic Center Drive crosses Monroe St and takes you right to it.
Yes, it follows the story lines of several Dr Seuss books especially cat in the hat.
Show length or run off the show dates?
You are always welcome to exchange tickets with at least 48 hours notice before the performance. There is a $10 exchange fee for that transaction. Not per ticket - for the total exchange. Season Ticket holders receive a free exchange.
Call box office and or check online to see if any tickets are available.
Hi Janet - Ben is correct. Casey has played among many other talented performers at HCT in ‘AIDA’ ‘Les Miserables’ and others.
Hi Carol - The Stars would rehearse on most Tuesdays and the exact concert dates aren't yet chosen. More info for you here: https://hct.org/Online/default.asp?BOparam::WScontent::loadArticle::permalink=YouthChoir&BOparam::WScontent::loadArticle::context_id=&menu_id=47D74339-1F11-4C9A-B8B3-BEE439D83186
Hi Kasi - It looks like you must have JUST called and gotten this fixed. Sorry you beat us to the punch! Happy to have you attending - - Happy Mother's Day weekend!
Hi Darren - It closes on April 6th. Each performance is approximately 2 hrs 20 min with intermission.
Hi Naomi - We do not have any performances of any kind on Sunday now.
There are two, Janet. One at 12:30 and one at 4:00pm. Please call 801-984-9000 to find out which you have scheduled or to attain tickets.
Hi Karen - here is a link to the website we used in China... https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.18.14037326fVIWhX&id=561475476107&ns=1&abbucket=1detail
You may absolutely exchange any seats right up until 48 hours before the performance (for a total $10 transaction fee) by contacting the box office.
We begin a standby line one hour before performance for anyone live at the theatre. Use the farthest left box office window. On occasion, a few people are able to be seated.
They use the tcoil in your hearing aid. You just have to enable it to be able to listen to the audio at the theater.
No you can't. But you can preorder your concessions for the show online and just go pick em up and skip the long lines!
Hello Shauna, Jodi is correct! You can either redeem your gift card online at checkout at HCT.org, or you can call the box office at 801-984-9000. They will be happy to help you. Enjoy the show!
Of course! The best part is, our gift cards do not expire!
Unfortunately no. I apologize.
We do have guest contracts for Equity as needed.
You can find the link on their website or in your email. You can order up to 2 hours before the show.
I'm 6' and about 340lbs, and I think the seats are just fine... :)
Wait Until Dark & Scarlet Pimpernel
You can pick up headphones, and their system works with t-coil hearing aids.
You'll probably want to contact the theater directly about that -- it's not likely that they are watching these questions closely. I have no idea if they loan/rent their costumes.
Hello! Tickets are $20 for children and $40 for adults.
Yes. The number depends on the popularity of the show, but yes, always at least one Saturday matinee.
Our Center Stage holds just over 900, while the Jewel Box Theatre hold about 450.
Really depends on the play. Most plays are 1.5 - 2.5 hours. Some musicals get closer to 3 hours with an intermission.
Depends on the package. It's worth it if your planning on attending a lot of shows. Call them and get a schedule of upcoming events.
In West Valley A Bundle of Trouble is playing and in Sandy Aida is playing.
You can check the day and the seats on their website
Nope, auditions will be March 17, 2018. Hope to see you there!
Hale Center Theater is organized in the round, so the audience surrounds the stage. Dress is casual to dressy, but clothes such as Tuxedos and formal dresses are certainly not the norm or required.
At the front doors there are no stairs, it's a gentle climb towards the front door. On the site's seating legend for both the Jewel Box Theater and The Centre Stage it specifies which seats are wheelchair accessible, and which are wheelchair companion seats. It might be useful to note that as there are no ramps, the wheelchair accessible seats are near the last row of seats.
Auditions are usually listed on their Facebook page they are under Hale Centre Theatre and you can click on schedule appointment and it'll show you the things that they are auditioning for currently. Also if you follow them on Facebook they usually will post notifications of when they are doing auditions good luck or should I say break a leg 😊
They did that one a couple of years ago. :)
It depends on the play. Different plays cost different amounts. The website can tell you ticket prices.
I believe Forever Plaid is at the new Jewel Box Theater and evening performances are usually 7:30.
Yes they do! Contact either the front desk or the costume department
You should have gotten a email, wait a couple of hrs and call them to see why u didn't get a email
