I moved to Seattle last month and I just returned my company’s rental car, so I’m without a car right now. But it just seemed impossible to find a car in this weird day and age where dealers don’t have new cars on their lots and the used cars are selling for above new car MSRP. I was just about giving up after talking with several dealers who asked for some absurd amounts of dealer markups for any new car I can find within a month. Then I got to know John Chung of Lynnwood Honda. He was very professional, courteous, and most of all ‘transparent’ from the beginning of our interaction to the very end when I drove my new Honda Accord Sport 2.0T off the lot. This was by far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had, and I can’t believe I am saying this because this is the seller’s (dealer’s) market and there are buyers lined up to buy new cars. John and the Lynnwood Honda team were patient waiting for me to come in because I was on an out-of-town trip, but worked very efficiently while I was away to make my car buying experience a breeze. John even gave me several helpful tips such as obtaining a WA state driver’s license, finding a good insurance broker, and more. And on the day of purchase, when John walked me through the car features, helpful websites, technical setup, and so on, I was really impressed with his thorough explanation and thoughtfulness throughout. I just want to thank John Chung and the Lynnwood Honda team, and let others (who are reading this now) know that they are the best at what they do, and they really earned my ‘trust’ today.

Stopped into Lynnwood Honda today to pick up a beautiful 2022 Honda Accord Sport SE, the car was miraculously available for purchase on the spot (not typical for this market) and I drove right in to go buy it. I worked with salesman Troy and sales manager Anuj to test drive and work out a deal. They were both incredibly kind, helpful and made the process as easy and comfortable as possible. I’m a young woman and came into the dealership by myself, which would be worrisome at other dealerships, but they treated me with the utmost respect. When the numbers came out, I almost couldn’t believe how fair they were. They gave me a fair evaluation of my 2016 Civic (that was purchased from them as my first ever car!) that exceeded what I was expecting to get even by my own research. There was no need to negotiate because the first deal they brought out was exceptional given the market! Lynnwood Honda is also pricing very competitively compared to other dealerships which is why I’ve come back to them again to repurchase. From test drive to finance, my experience was stress-free and exceptional. I have also used their service department many times and they have saved my life many times over by giving me loaner cars for up to a week, prioritizing repairs for my car and even contacting Honda corporate for reimbursement on repairs that were out of warranty. Patrick in particular has always been my favorite service advisor. Thank you Lynnwood Honda! You have earned yourselves a customer for life.

You can easily fix it yourself by either buying a new one or one from a bone yard. If you are not comfortable with that, the service shop can do it for you. Expect a much higher bill if the shop does it. There are many reputable repair shops other than the dealer, just do a Google search.
