Good park, but the trails aren't really marked well. The White Trail has faded in many places and we had a bit of difficulty with this. Still good hike. Rated moderate as the trail was rocky with roots and minor ups and downs all through. Good shoes recommended.

BEWARE OF PORCUPINES! We were walking our black lab off leash, stupid Yankees, and she attacked one. She got needled from snout to about, poor girl. The nearest vet open mid-day was a 45 min drive, but they undoubtedly saved her life. Otherwise, beautiful little nook. Just don't bring your four-footed friend unless you have a leash or keep them within sight.

Yes. Like the person said u have to be Westchester resident. Unless u got a group park pass/letter etc to say u are invited to come to the park and so fort with family and friend etc. But u might have to still pay for parking. Hope this was helpful
Looks like you must have Westchester Address to go to pool. This is from the pool website Proof of Westchester County residency is required with a County park pass or a valid New York State driver's license with a Westchester address.
Unfortunately, yes. Found this on next door... Friends of Saxon Woods - PLEASE READ Do you know that nearly half of Saxon Woods Park is going to be cleared and bulldozed so that a group of predominantly New York City men can take over the area for their fringe game of frisbee golf, a game they hope will draw "tens-of- thousands of people up from the city. Their plan is to make Saxon Woods Park "New York City's home course" for a frisbee game. See the group's many recent posts at https://www.facebook.com/groups/WestchesterDiscGolf/. They also have a very revealing podcast disclosing all the details of their efforts to avoid public scrutiny. The podcast is available at https://player.fm/series/the-hudson-valley disc-golf-podcastéen-75th-episode-special-saxon-woods-the-story-so-far. In the podcast, the group brags about its secret, backroom efforts to take over the entire portion of Saxon Woods Park south of the Hutchinson River Parkway-to avoid public comment and input from

They open at sunrise and close at sunset or a little after
this morning (1/12/19) the park was relatively unattended so no problem parking and hiking. Most bathrooms locked though. Probably much more of a challenge during peaking season. Look into the state parks.
