Great location. The pool area is amazing. The breakfast hours are super convenient. Some of the younger staff on night shift are less than excited about their jobs and it shows every time you speak to them. The hotel itself is a little dated but overall not the worst I have ever stayed at.

We were disappointed to find out after checking in and using the hot tub, the TV was not working. Called the front desk, they told my husband to wait 30-40 minutes so they could reboot the system. That's a long time to wait when you want to catch a quick movie before bed. Decided on watching fb. The hotel looks like it hasn't had a deep clean since they opened. Our room had a nasty smell to it, but it had the same smell as the breakfast nook. Kind of questing it may be from using cheap chemicals. Didn't smell or appear clean and sanitized, especially in the world we live in today.

My kids loved swimming in the pool here. The water isn't too deep-perfect for small kids. We went for a spring break slumber party. Decent breakfast.

Positive: The pool was warm and large. Friendly staff. One bed was uncomfortable but the other was fine. Negative: They list having an arcade but they do not. They also used to have an on site restaurant that is not closed. Breakfast was small

Yes the front desk is open. And there is always someone there. Why the phone isn't being answer. Is another matter.
The Lapeer Best Western does not allow pets unless it is a service animal. If it is not a service animal, you may be charged a large fine for having an animal in the room. The Davison Best Western however does allow pets.
I'm guessing you didn't read my review. To answer your question, it cost more than it was worth.
