I brought my sister in for pain in her abdomen instructed by her doctor to do so, they took her right in and five hours later discovered she had a 3.5 centimeter cyst on her ovary and that her ovary twisted and had little blood flow to the ovary they kept giving her dilated and it wasn’t working and that she is to have her ovary removed (surgery) 10.5 hours later they tell us they don’t have a surgeon there for this procedure! We had to wait for a bed at newberg providence then get transferred via ambulance… 10.5 hours, No Bed and No surgeon at a hospital???

Had to go to the ER for an injury - was taken care of expediently with lots of care and kindness. The medical staff were some of the nicest people. Kudos to them for maintaining cheerfulness during a difficult time to be working in healthcare! There was a billing issue involving my insurance but that was also resolved quickly the next day by the hospital’s billing department. Overall, excellent service.

I have mostly gotten good care at this hospital, but beware of their billing department and always check your receipts. They will say that if you pay immediately, you will be given a discount. I paid with a debit card at time of service, and the discount I was promised, was not given. This is not the first time we have had trouble with the billing. They are telling me now that they have to wait on my insurance company, blah, blah, blah, and it will be a least 15 days before they can refund anything. Obviously they hope I will forget that they overcharged me. That is NOT going to happen.

Hate to give even one star! My sister was admitted there for supposedly 4 days to two weeks and she walked in, able to help herself, walk with a cane, talk without problems. So she had insurance that paid so kept her three months. As soon as insurance was done paying, she was able to be discharged. She left in a wheelchair because she sat so much in a wheelchair, she could barely stand up. And she was so overmedicated, she couldn't put two words together for a sentence. The psychiatrist there never communicated ever, with family members. Couldn't get answers the whole time. Reminds us of One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest hospital. This is a For Profit hospital so in order to keep the jingle in their pockets, patients and employees get shafted. I couldn't work for a place that profits off the sick. The staff was always griping about being short staffed. The Senior Behavioral Unit and so called psychiatrist should be investigated.
