State Land

The west side of Five Lakes Road is open to hunting (and is also a Field Trial area in one spot). It has some established trails. The east side section of Five Lakes Rd to Vernor Rd to almost Long Lake Rd, is a Wildlife Preserve - no hunting. You can check the DNR site for more info. The Lapeer State Game area is pretty big and goes well beyond what I described with lots of public hunting areas, so do check the DNR site!
