Nice regional airport. Small, but was clean and efficient.

Fine airport except for the psychopathic parking cop lady at the drop-off/pickup area. Watched her yell at a truck dropping off and threaten to ticket for “blocking traffic”. Mind you this is a small airport with three lanes and almost no traffic that afternoon. Truck just drove off while she yelled. She jumped down people’s throats about not parking while they were just dropping off and saying goodbye. Second trip through here: gate staff for American flight forced me to check a bag that I know fits in the over head bins. It is just not true that it’s faster for them to gate check your bags than everyone to put it in the overhead space. Staff was extremely evasive and would not even speak to reassure me about my bags.

Fastest airport I’ve been to. Security checks take 15 minutes or less, and arriving here gets you out the door in the same time. Small airports are the best!

There are nonstop flights from gainesville to Miami, Charlotte, and Atlanta. Delta and American.
Are their fights entering and departing
Dear Dana, We have non-stop flights to Charlotte and Miami on American, and Atlanta on Delta. In order to get to Pensacola from Gainesville, you would need to connect through one of those airports. Thank you for Flying GNV!
You can fly anywhere but not directly. You need to hop to ATL with Delta and Charlotte if you travel with American.
yes
Good question. We have a lovely city here but services are not like larger cities. If you are staying at a local hotel they might have their own service. Most people use public transportation, use can
After the security check point each airline has wheel chairs for their passengers
I agree
Hi Robyn -- We have two nonstops to Dallas Fort Worth daily. Thank you for Flying GNV! Orange and blue skies!
No. Flights to Charlotte, NC or Miami with American or flights to Atlanta with Delta
Hi Colleen, our official recommended time before flight is 75 mins. prior. Thank you for Flying GNV!
Time of day is important to keep in mind. Most flights are full. Check with the airline, and of course TSA could start more thoural screenings at any point. Once cleared to fly in G ville you have access to boarding in major air ports.
Nora: We do not have reserved parking at this time. You can find pretty much everything you need to know here: https://gra-gnv.com/flygainesville.com/parking-and-transportation/parking/ Thank you for flying GNV!
Arrive in plenty of time to park, check in and navigate security screening. Travelers should arrive at the Airport at least one hour before domestic flight departures and 90 minutes for International travel.
I have flown out in the earliest flights (around 6am) and the airline employees get there around 4:30am- 5:00am and also TSA employees. They would let you in around that time. Is a small airport so if you want to arrived earlier you can,but if it's to early you will have to wait until the employees arrive. (They have seating area inside the airport)
We (the airport authority) don't sell tickets, the airlines do. So you would need to contact either Delta Airlines, American Airlines, or consult your favorite travel search engine or travel agent for the most up to date fare information. Thank you for Flying GNV!
There is both short term and long term parking for a fee
Yes, I agree as long as weather and visibility is good.
Delta and American Airlines
We didn't have to or weren't asked anything.
At the current moment Gainesville Regional Airport doesn't offer any flights directly to South Bend, Indiana. All flights would be either flown out of Atlanta on Delta Airlines from Gainesville FL, or from Charlotte NC, Miami FL, or Dallas Texas on American Airlines from Gainesville FL.
Hi Elaine We have connecting service from EWR on American and Delta. You would connect through Charlotte or DFW on American or Atlanta on Delta. Our nonstops to/from Miami on American will start again mid-September. Hope that helps. Thank you for Flying GNV!
Hi Pamela: While both Delta and American Airlines fly out of GNV, American Airlines is the one providing service from GNV to MHT at this time. Their contact info is below. https://gra-gnv.com/flygainesville.com/flights-and-airlines/airline-info/ Thank you for Flying GNV!
Hi Jennifer You can check our flight times at https://flygainesville.com/.Hope that helps!
Yes if you are okay making connections. No if you prefer a direct flight. They regularly go to Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, and Charlotte to make connections all over the world.
Hi Stacy:We have three doors to choose from in the front of our terminal at GNV. The first two are closest to the ticket counters. The third one is closest to the baggage claim. Hope that helps! Thanks for Flying GNV!
Jodi We recommend arriving 75 minutes prior to flight time. Our parking lot has been very full lately, so please allow extra time to park. Important: To ensure an on-time departure, please arrive at the airport at least 75 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time. Please Confirm Your Flight Directly With The Airline. Please be reminded that all ticket counters close 30 minutes prior to published departure time. Passengers need a boarding pass to clear the security checkpoint. Once check in closes, you will not be able to obtain a boarding pass, even if the flight has not left the gate.THANK YOU FOR FLYING GNV!!!
There is.
Yes, we were lucky enough to maintain operations without interruption.
With layovers, yes. Not direct.
Yes Shirley
We ask you to please arrive 75 minutes prior. Thank you so much for Flying GNV! Orange and Blue Skies.....
I think its $15/day

No
Hi Melanee, We don't offer nonstop flights between GNV and ECP. Both of our carriers, American (via Charlotte - CLT and Dallas - DFW) and Delta (via Atlanta - ATL), do offer connecting service. Thanks for checking GNV!
no. only to dallas, miami, atlanta, and charlotte for non-stop flights
Hi Tom, Not at this time. Thanks for contacting GNV!
Through a connection like Miami via American Airlines, yes.
When I go to Michigan I just get a connecting flight in Atlanta or Charlotte and when I come back I do the same thing
Only delta airlines and American airlines fly from Gainesville
Yes. Luquids have to be under 100 ml
Both Delta and American offer connecting flights from GNV to MSY. For fare and schedule information please contact them directly. You can find their contact info here: https://gra-gnv.com/flygainesville.com/flights-and-airlines/airline-info/
Not directly no. Delta has a number of daily flights to ATL. AA has daily flights to Miami, Charlotte, and now 1 daily flight to DFW.
Not currently. You would have to stop in one of the four destinations offered by GNV. The cheapest option would probably be with American to Charlotte then Fort Lauderdale, but I would recommend flying Delta to Atlanta, then Fort Lauderdale. If it is not very important, you can fly direct to Miami.
One before security and one after, but I recommend just going to Sachels before or after your flight.
American Airlines only operates flights from GNV to Charlotte NC, Miami, and, recently, Dallas/Ft Worth. Delta operates flights to Atlanta.
Precheck, yes. Global entry , no (domestic destinations only at GNV). Since precheck comes with Global Entry, you should be covered
Dear Joan: Yes! both Delta (www.delta.com) via Atlanta and American Airlines (aa.com) via Charlotte or Miami offer flights to Columbus (and after Mar 3 you may be routed through Dallas/Fort Worth) Please contact either airline directly, or go through your travel agent, for fare and purchase options. Thank you for Flying GNV!
Yes, at AA. Not sure about Delta.
There is no shuttle, but the distance to the terminal is short. You could pick up a chair and take it back, or drop him off curbside.
No
No. We fly to Dallas though
American Airlines and Delta are the only Airlines I've noticed there
Sadly not. However they have made emergency landings on runway 11/29
Hi David, Parking information can be found here: http://gra-gnv.com/flygainesville.com/parking-and-transportation/parking/ Thank you for Flying GNV!
What does it cost for 8 days
1 hr they say .u have to be prepared to deal with situations.they have had issues with credit card users that has made them miss the flight and refunds tend to be a issue.sorry for the story.
No, most flights are either to MIA, ATL or CLT
Carol: Here is another good list. Thank you for Flying GNV! https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all
Yes. American.
Delta and American
We ask that you arrive 75 minutes prior to departure, so 3:15 pm. Thank you for Flying GNV!
We ask all travelers to arrive 75 minutes prior to departure. Thank you for Flying GNV!
Carolee, You can contact either American or Delta to see if they offer service from the city in California. The contact information is here; http://gra-gnv.com/flygainesville.com/flights-and-airlines/airline-info/ Thank you for Flying GNV.
Carolyn, American and Delta both offer connecting service from GNV to Knoxville. You need to contact the airlines for schedule and fare information. The contact information is here: http://gra-gnv.com/flygainesville.com/flights-and-airlines/airline-info/ Thank you for Flying GNV!
Different airlines. Delta's hub is in ATL. All flights out of Gainesville through Delta have to stop in ATL. American Airlines, however, has a two hubs now one in Miami and another in Charlotte, so depending on the flight you do layover at one or the other.
Dear Toni, we do not have customs or foreign currency exchange at our airport. Thank you for flying GNV!
No in the luggage
Dear Aaron, The commercial terminal is opened by security personnel at 3:30am. We suggest you arrive 75 minutes before departure. After the last daily flight, security clears and locks the terminal, generally by 12:30 am. The terminal is NOT open 24 hours and passengers may not remain inside the building overnight. Thank you for Flying GNV!
Not at this time. Our non-stops are from Gainesville to Atlanta (Delta); Charlotte (American) and Miami (American). Thank you for flying GNV!

This link is good
Soon
You can go to or come from anywhere, direct flights are limited by the Airlines. American Airlines goes to Miami FL and Charlotte NC. Delta connects in Atlanta. From any if those connections you could get to your destination depending on the airline.
no it doesnt
2 hours
There are no direct flights except to ATL (Delta) and Miami/Charlotte (American). From those hubs, you can then fly pretty anywhere in the world, including Huntsville AL
Sure. You just can't trust GNV to have a flight leave or arrive on time. Or at all. Horrible on time numbers. Horrible flight cancellation numbers. Parking rates that are more than Orlando. Strolling private cops that think someone is going to do evil if you wait 3 minutes for a person to exit or enter the airport.
at this time it is free, that will change any day.
Not directly, but with stops.
Just inside the hall. You can't miss it.
