Saturdays are my "try a new breakfast place" day. A few weekends ago my wife suggested we try @thegallopinggalette in Braselton, GA. The moment you walk in, you can smell the heavenly aroma of crepes being made. This is an authentic French creperie. This place is ran by a husband and wife team (husband is the chef) and the wife runs the floor and makes sure everything is running smooth. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what side of France they are from but I think they are from the North West Region? Either way, the food is delicious!! I ordered that day's special which was a chicken pesto crepe and my wife ordered the weekend special... sausage gravy, diced bacon, potatoes, onions, monterrey jack cheese over an over easy egg. These savory crepes were made to perfection... I don't know how else to describe it. Perfectly thin, light and full of flavor. We also wanted to try their sweet crepes so I checked the special of the day which was some type of chocolate and banana mix and my wife ordered the regular chocolate. I'm normally not a fan of whip cream but their whip cream (called chantilly) is just different!! I still think mine had a bit too much chantilly but i still had most of it 🙃 Unless you're there first thing as they open, I would suggest you call in and set a reservation. They get busy very quickly even though they have tables inside and outside. When you walk in you get in line and they come get you at the door to be seated. Their server was extremely funny and made the experience very pleasant. What is this place doing in a place like Braselton!? No idea but I'm happy we've got them on the north side of Georgia!!! Stop by and check out some of that French cuisine! #rolieats #goodeats #goodfood #frenchcuisine #frenchfood #crepes #savorycrepe #sweetcrepes #thegallopinggalette #creperie #delicious #breakfast #brunch #braselton #happybelly

My husband and I found this treasure and dined here for our anniversary brunch. What a pure joy! The owners, Vivienne and her husband were so warm, friendly, and attentive. Our waitress, Tonya, was excellent as well. As for the food, ahhhh-mazing! The gallettes and crépes were delicious and the French press coffee was the best I've ever had! Everything was so good, we're planning to go back before we head back home to Atlanta! Update! We did go back the next day and Tonya, Vivienne, and the food and coffee were just as amazing as the day before! ❤️

This place was recommended to me by a coworker. It is in downtown Braselton and is amazing and I can't say enough about the hostess who seen me a handful of times and knows exactly who I am greets me by name each time and remembers recalls the details of our conversation. She is a rockstar. In my opinion. The food is so well paired. I had smoked salmon with goat, wrapped in a crepe, then drizzled in a dill sauce. Side salad.....it's my favorite dish at this point. My only con, drizzle was too much of a pour. But simply left it on my empty dish.....😁

I adore a Chef run restaurant. Husband and wife team. The savory galette's we tried were wonderful, delicious and beautifully plated. Loved meeting the owner. All good. Such a surprise for an area like Braselton, Georgia.Dear Judy, Thank you for taking the time to review us and for your very kind words! It was our pleasure to serve you and we are absolutely looking forward to having you again soon! Merry Christmas and happy holiday, Yannick and Viviane

Absolutely, let us know when!!
As far as I know, if you are talking about ice cream (no).
Don't know...have you tried to call them?
Yes! Buckwheat (Galette) is naturally gluten free. We have one crepe maker devoted entirely for Galette. Just call ahead of time so we can get it nice and hot before your arrival :)
