If you’re an incoming Full Sail University student, avoid this apartment complex like the plague. Terrible management. Terrible maintenance. Terrible treatment of tenants. It looks very nice on the outside but after living here for over a year, you’ll want nothing more but to escape. Every other week the water is shut off due to emergency flooding (terrible plumbing, get ready for something to go wrong). You’ll pay for pest control through rent fees but have to beg to actually see the service executed in your apartment. Management doesn’t care about residents other than leeching their money. A single bedroom apartment here costs the same as a two bedroom apartment of higher quality elsewhere. Careless and temperamental staff are guaranteed to ruin your day somehow. Sure there are some good things about Whisper Lake but the negatives vastly outweigh the positives. AVOID THIS PLACE.

We moved in here about three weeks ago. We had a very bad roach infestation due to the previous tenants living conditions that rented this unit (according to neighbors). Every lady that we have dealt with in the leasing office has been extremely helpful. They have ordered specialty service for us to help us deal with the problem. They do really seem to care about their tenants and their issues and concerns. Even though we didnt have our rent abated, The employees have done everything they can to help us, in a fast manor.

I had a 2/2 loft suite ($1450/month that they raised to $2000+/month causing us to move out) and the air conditioning was terrible. Maintenance said that the units are under powered and will only cool the unit down at 2am. Had to get a window unit and that caused our power bill to be $200+. Management is terrible and not helpful at all. They never informed up that we needed a lift to put the washer and dryer up stairs (why is the only water hookup on the loft? Terrible design) and that once we remove it we need to call maintenance to properly close the water as it will leak. Which it did causing $500 of damages that they expect us to pay even though they never mentioned we need to call them to close it. Loft stairs are extremely narrow and not built to code. The second floor floorboards squeak and move underneath the carpet which makes you think you're going to fall through it at any moment. The complex would use an extremely toxic smelling bath tub paint that would fill any attached apartments causing you to open your windows to air it out after getting light headed and nauseated. Maintenance drives extremely carelessly causing the death of many baby ducks (which was one of the main reasons for moving here) and not cleaning up the corpses. They refuse to help with any on premises laundry machines as they are leased out and leave it up to you to call and request service. The wildlife and trees were great and a major reason for moving here, the neighbors are pretty quiet and all mostly young full sail students who keep to themselves. They occasionally have a single food truck show up and also have blood busses for donations that give out free movie tickets.
