Looks like it would be a beautiful place to spend a morning enjoying nature. Unfortunately I actually had to RUN back to the car. The biting flies were unbearable. Tried to at least salvage the trip with a couple of pictures. They might be blurry from the squadron of flies circling my head. 😝

Easy to get to. Has just 4-5 parking spots. Great little walk. Terrible biting Yellow flies!! Do not go without some bug spray!!

Skeeters and yellow flies bout did us in! Had to run back to the car without finishing home. Planked part fine....sandy part....ACK!!!! early in the morning. YIKES

Not much parking, but during the week that was no problem. Horseflies swarmed me, so I had to do some running. Would've been a nice short hike otherwise, so I will try again and assume this isn't the norm as I went just after it stormed.

Mile loop
There were people fishing there but I dont know the specifics. The park rangers was giving an instructional class I believe
There is tent camping around the area. I'm not sure how much it is for that long. We stayed just down the road from there and I remember it was a good value for the weekend. The place is very busy though, you really should plan ahead and prebook
I want to say dogs are allowed. I don't remember any signs to the contrary. Please pick up after them if you do bring dogs.
There are no lights, and it does close at dusk. Maybe not the safest place to go alone at night.
