Paid them $178 to let me know they charged my battery and didn’t know what was wrong….. I could have sent it anywhere for that but I believed these reviews. Wanted to charge me an extra $900 to do a engine test after. I towed it after they just said oh it’s gonna cost 10k. I understand labor but almost $200 to charge a battery is just stupid. And I got no where. It was a waste

These guys are the best, they are where I go when I don't even know where to begin with a problem.

This is my 4th or 5th vehicle over the past 20 years that I have been satisfied with the services of Magic Mechanic. Two of the vehicles were Jaguars & they are not the easiest to work on.

Was told the mechanic looked at the air filter and concluded it did not need replacing. After leaving, it was immediately replaced after seeing the dirt, twigs, and bugs accumulated in the air filter. It was dark brown. I requested that all liquids be looked at for possible replacing. No mechanic comments were entered on the paperwork regarding any liquids. It was disappointing and below what my expectations were for magic mechanic. I assume both the air filter and all liquids besides motor oil were ignored as the mechanic was busy and this made the experience not positive for me. My prior visits are beyond a dozen in count, and the biggest work done on my vehicle was replacing the transmission and the AC. I think my expectations for quality of service have become too high.

Combination of great attitudes and expertise!
We took the car our daughter had bought to have it checked at the The Magic Mechanic shop. They did an excellent job, checking the whole car and giving us peace of mind! It's been a year + and so far soo good 👌
Either one, you would want 0W -30 for very cold weather, I would just use the 0 W-30, I hope this helps
Roy the interchange guide shows it will work !
A 15-W-40 Amsoil is whats recommended for that engine" If its a new engine put 5000 miles on it with conventional oil like Shell Rotella for brake in first before installing Amsoil Synthetic"
Their referring to the 6.0 Power Strokes, Due to the issues unless you buy one with a updated 6.0 it may be better to avoid them all together and look for a later model
Call JD at Magic Mechanic, he is very knowledgeable and can help you out.
I don't know, call Magic Mechanic to find out
I'm pretty sure they do charge, but seems reasonable if they are doing work. They seem very professional and don't up-sell customers, in my experience, so I'd go there again.
Sound like the bearings are going out on compressor. Get ready to change it.
They can do it all! I'm sure that if you reach out to them you can get more info. I know parts might be hard to come by, but I'm sure that they can figure something out. They do quality work and I'll bet they'd be happy to help. Good luck and stay safe!
Magic mechanic is the best shop I have encountered for many years. JD in the front office is available, fair and in my opinion totally trustworthy. Great place to do business.
Yes, you can .Timing service has nothing to do with oil pump. Timing service is about 4hrs. Pump is inside oil pan. That requires engine to be removed. If you have a good oil pressure, there's no need to change the oil pump.
Get a pricing from them before you commit.
I don't know for sure that magicmechic does that kind of work. I do know that they do fantastic work concerning mechanical work. They can probably suggest a reputable source for you.
need to go on their website and ask the question.
Just call, JD will have an answer for you.
No problem we make repairs on Volvos just give us a call 407-629-2661
Its a bushing in the steering column that fails and causes steering wheel play and a clicking noise every-time you turn the wheel, this is a very common issue on Hyundai's and Kia's and we make these repairs sometimes 3 or more a week"
Transmission may be in limp mode, a scan of the computer system may indicate a code that would need investigated to diagnose the problem. Several things can cause a limp mode issue since this is a electronic shifted transmission anything from the connection at the transmission to a shift solenoid, pressure switch, position sensor, low fluid condition, computer, to even a worn or broken part can all cause this issue'
Use the Amsoil 0-W-30
I think what your asking is the dealer removed your 5-W-30 Mobil 1 synthetic and installed their 0 or 5-W-20 bulk oil! If this was one of those discount oil change specials you should not expect a high dollar oil to be included during the service" Mobil 1 can exceed $7.00 a quart and Amsoil Synthetic can exceed $14.00 a quart so when you can have a oil cost of $80.00 to $100.00 without the filter you shouldn't expect top tier synthetic oils to be included with a $36.95 oil change special!
Doubtful but anything is possible" Bonnie its like this if you never change the fluid we know what will eventually happen! The fluid will get so thick it cannot be pumped and the acid in the fluid will start eating up parts" Regardless its still in your best interest to change the fluid"
Yes we take most extended warranties, If you would like call us and let us know the name of your warranty company and we will check and make sure we take it" 407-629-2661 Larry Perry
Need to pull a lower hose off the inter cooler and see it theirs oil in the cooler, a turbo leaking oil can restrict the cooler and cause oil to enter the intake thus the oil smoke"
Julie, With proper maintenance most Honda vehicles hold up very well, one thing we tell folks is to search the year make and model with the phrase problems" If you get thousands of consumer complaints on an transmission problem or anything else you may want to look for a different model and brand" Larry
Bruce type the words (2015 Hyundai Tucson oil consumption) into any search engine its full of consumer complaints concerning the same issue your dealing with, seems most complaints start at around 34,000 to 40,000 miles and most are averaging loosing 1 quart around every 1000 miles, biggest problem seems Hyundai's excepts this as NORMAL! I suggest make a local dealer aware of the issue and see if their willing to do anything about it, Trust me you wont be the first! Good Luck"
Ed we would need to look at it, the noise is most likely a dry ball joint in some cases we can inject grease into the boot with a grease needle and extend the life of the joints as long as theirs no play in the joints" If the boots are dry rotted and wont hold grease they will need replaced, stop by and we will let you know what were dealing with Larry
Most transmissions do not come with a dip stick, to properly check the fluid you usually need to remove a plug on the transmission and if fluid runs out its full"
Call them, they can tell you what can cause that to happen.
I think your spell corrector turned Amsoil to E-Mail, I use the Amsoil 15-W-40 in heavy duty air cooled engines like yours, its got tons of moisture inhibitors and lots of zinc to prevent gulling and wear, plus its Amsoil a PAO synthetic oil!
Jasper Engine with 100,000 mile warranty with all the goodies figure around $6500.00 We would have it for about 5 days"
We can re-flash most any vehicle, but in your case which is going into limp mode? The engine or transmission?
Mark our hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday - Friday we can usually make appointments until 4:00 PM, I believe the air conditioning additive your referring to is our ICE-32 additive" It allows the A/C system to get colder quicker by an average of 10 degrees and protects the system with a polarized synthetic lubricant" The additive installed is $74.95 and no appointment is necessary as long as you get their before 6:00 PM Larry
Hey fellow hillbilly sorry (Appalachian American) Take it back to the shop that did the brakes and tell they they can have their pads back your not going to live with the squeaks and squeals for the next 45,000 miles! Tell them to put NAPA ADAPTIVE ONE brake pads on the van and your willing to pay the extra for the pads" These truly are a no squeak no squeal no dirty wheel brake pad!
If its the RED brake light it illuminates when the E-brake is applied or theirs air in the brake system, If air enters the brake system theirs most likely a leak" It may be worth loosening the master cylinder bolts and inspecting the rear of the cylinder for any dampness if its dry reinstall it and inspect the brake lines, abs module and calipers for any signs of leakage"
Possible universal joint or bad bearing in the differential. we usually repair the differential if that's the problem"
0-W-30 SignatureSeries" Larry
Asking wrong source - my experience is that they are honest
You can try AutoZone or Advance Auto store. If they don't have it then you go to a dealer go to the auto parts section and ask for the spark plug there. Hope that helps. Good luck
James a lower cranking amp display is normal they all wont read the exact CCA, Unfortunately their right if the battery takes and holds a charge the battery isn't at fault its most likely not getting charged properly or theirs a draw when the vehicle is off and draining the battery.
Take it to Magic Mechanic, and they will check the car and tell you what is wrong with it and how much it will take to fix it. This will incur a fee, then it's up to you whether you want to spend the money to fix the problem.
Check the bulbs first then the fuses if the bulbs are ok.
Try having a de-carbon service performed" Carbon left over from your fuel gets trapped in combustion chambers and the pistons will actually hit the carbon and make noise, after it warms up in many cases the noise will go away, A leaking lifter can also cause the noise" Lifters are hydraulic and filled with engine oil, to keep the oil in the lifter they use a spring loaded ball to act as a one way valve, if any debris get into the sealing area of the check ball it will allow the lifter to bleed down and make noise during restart until the lifter pumps back up, If this is the case a engine flush before the next engine oil service would be recommended worse case it may need a new lifter.
Call and talk to RJ and ask he will help till you think they are the only ones that can fix it. Check the charge, make sure the clutch is or isn't engaging for the compressor.
Is there a mark too line it up?
Your sensors, more likely need to be checked
Not battery. Great cranking ability. Thinking spark or fuel
