In serious need of renovations. Reminds me of a 1990's middle school. As for the price of one adult you have to pay $52 a month with a $60 sign up cost (too costly for what you get). Might as well go to Gainesville Health and Fitness for $60 a month and they have everything you need in a gym setting.

The North Central Florida Y is a wonderful place for the entire family. The staff is committed to making the Y safe for everyone. The Teen Center is conveniently located, has easy pick up and drop off, and offers a wide variety of activities. Mr. Rollins and his team have created a positive, creative and engaged community of teens that support each other with sincerity and kindness. The Executive Director, Mrs. Howard, understands the challenges facing our community from violence, literacy, and lack of resources in rural areas of the county. She actively finds solutions and treats everyone with respect. I would highly recommend the Y for all ages.

The weight room is large, well stocked and rarely busy. They have nearly every weight room equipment one would ever want. They have a set of weight machines for kids 8 and up. Boxing, when they offered it, was excellent (not currently offered, hope they bring it back). My kids liked parkour. Summer basketball was remarkably good, Coach Mike was awesome! Pool is comfortably heated but in need of resurfacing.

This place is family to my family. It’s unique from all these other fancy gyms I have been to. All the stuff members are like sent from heaven, so kind, social and caring. I recommend this place and I’m so glad to be a member.

The YMCA has a program that will adjust your fees based on your ability to pay. You fill out financial forms & they will send you the rates they determine you can afford, which can be way under the rates offered to the general public.
Thank you for your interest in our programs. The gym classes are from Monday to Thursday. Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 in the afternoon until 5:30. There are 3 options for swimming lessons, the first option starts on March 25th until April 10th. Option two begins April 15 through May 1 and the last option is May 6 through May 22. If you have another question please call 352-374-9622.
If your insurance offers Silver Sneakers, you can join for free. I do not know what the regular fee would be.
I checked their subscription section on the website and it looks like they have student and senior discounts. Might be worth a call to find out officially though as they should offer one in my opinion.
Hi David, The Y allows people to take showers as long as they check in at the front desk and fill out a guest form. There is a 30 min time limit and have to check out at the front desk. If you wish to stay longer the day pass is only $7. If you have any further questions call the front desk staff. Hope my information has been helpful. Be well.
The YMCA accepts any Tivity health provider including Silver Sneakers. Contact your account rep and see if you qualify for their Silver Sneakers option
The Y does not offer free swim lessons but there is a Stay Well program through the state that offers swim lesson vouchers that The Y participates in.
Absolutely. Adult day pass is $7. $5 for children and seniors.
They only have an outdoor I believe
Probably january if they still do that. Seniors can try it out for $5 per day.
