I went to North Florida hospital in Gainesville. After triage, I sat in the waiting room for about 45 minutes before my CT scan. Once my CT was done, I sat in the waiting room for about 5 hours. Never saw a dr to get my results. When I asked to see someone, I was told to sit down and someone would be with me. I was able to see the results of my CT on the HCA app, noting I had to broken ribs. My CT results were electronically signed at 330pm. By 630 I asked to have my IV removed so I could go home. They tried to get me to sign an AMA...i asked how could I leave against medical advice when I haven't had any, nor seen anyone. The next day, I went the hospital in Lake City. They read my CT results and confirmed my ribs were fractured. The nurse practitioner provided a pain medicine with codeine, but my chart clearly states im allergic to codeine. I brought it to their attention and was told i was also prescribed an inhaler in case I had trouble breathing. Im so disappointed with both facilities.

Everyone was extremely caring and very nice When i was in presurgery area the doctors all made sure i was comfortable and made sure i woke up not vomiting .the nurses and staff after surgery were very carrying.

you can also call ahead so there ready when you get there...also last time i got my records they put them on a dvd and they were no charge
P A D and Patent ductus arteriosus.. If/when I'm asked the hospital I "PREFER" to be taken care of me, I USUALLY CHOOSE NORTH FLORIDA. But ny Health Care would send me to UF'shands tho. North Florida does not play The guessing game that usually are right on the money and that's why they demand the big bucks ...

Restaurants. Red lobster just west of hospital Oaks mall across street with food cort, Charlie's fabulous Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Not sure if other restaurants still open after co id. Panerai bread, burger King, ncdonalds visible from hospital and couple of free standing trstaurants in front of mall

Hi Ava, the hospital Cafe is open 7 days a week, for breakfast from 6:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m., lunch from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The Sandwich Depot is open Monday- Saturday from 11:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.- 12:00 a.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 precautions, our dinner from the hospital Cafe is currently grad and go, and hot food options are available through the Sandwich Depot. No, not that I'm aware of. There IS huge Clinic/Doc in a box type on hwy 90 going east out of Lake City. On the left side. There's an oxygen place in the same strip & I believe some offices in there.
We do offer a caregiver tray for those staying in the room with patients. These individuals can get with their nurse and NCA (nutritional care assistant) and let them know that they would like the extra tray. Currently, nurse leaders are allowed to pass out food vouchers to family members on their units. Please see a member of our nursing staff for assistance with this process. Thank you!

Yes both of my daughters did this year and 5 years ago and the first time EXPERIENCE for both of us was great the nurses and doctors was GREAT and on point with everything so it's a GREAT place to deliver a baby and very very safe as well and security

Call the hospital operator and ask for medical records. They will have them ready for you to pick up, if you ask early before you go. I am not sure about mailing, but I am sure they will send them to your doctor for free.
Its not very long they are a great hospital.
Can't answer that.. don't have first hand knowledge on any cancer or blood research done by this hospital... But my advice is to go to another medical setting for any medical treatment!!!
They give you hats, blankets, soap, comb, diapers, wipes, formula if your baby doesn't latch for breastfeeding. I had my 2nd son there in August and they were super nice and accommodating. I highly recommend them
