Very friendly place! Beautiful lake

The website is very misleading. There is no swimming on property, no way to put your boat in the water at property. I have lived in Florida since I was 2 and everyone knows how hot it is in July, so they have no coverage over there picnic table on the porch you go outside to sit on. ThisON-SITE BOAT RAMP AVAILABLE is on your web sight. Just because my name was not under the register does not mean I didn't stay because I did. You cannot swim in Kiwanis area it is locked off.

Do not pay attention to any of the bad reviews !!! We stayed there the week of 6/3 - 6/11/22. The place was immaculately clean, fully furnished, and very comfortable. I booked with Jenna and after booking seen a bad review which made me nervous and skeptical about this stay. I packed more than I needed (just in case) and was prepared to go elsewhere if it was a dump. WOW....The minute we walked in .....I knew the reviews from the ex employees were bogus!! This place and our stay was wonderful, and can't wait to go there again! Thank you Jenna and crew!! We will definitely be back for more rest, quiet and relaxation that your resort provides.

There is atv rental and riding down the road from mill damn
Wonderful fishing from the shore! My girl caught a small bass within half an hour... Really gret brim fishing too. You can pull them out one after the other with bread balls. :)
Shannon, the current rates as of today's date (7/27/2020) are as follows: for a 1 bedroom cabin we're currently charging $125/night with a 2 night minimum. $320 for 3 nights, $425 for a week and $1150 for the month. We have a lower monthly rate of $995 for 6 months or more. We will accept up to 4 people in the 1 bedroom cabins. We can accept dogs for a $50 pet fee for 2 nights up to 1 week, or $100 for 2 weeks to a month or $100 per month for longer stays. There is a 2 pet maximum and a weight limit of 30 lbs. We also have 2 bedroom units available that are $150/night with a 2 night minimum, 3 nights is $395, a week is $475 and monthly $1350 for stays 6 months or less. Hope this helps you and others like you. Thank you for the question.
I'm sorry no. You may be thinking of the state run park across the lake. I don't have the information on what they do over there but all our RV sites are 50 or 30 amp full hook up with water, sewer and cable TV. At this time (7/27/2020) we charge $39/night, $125/week and $475/month. Hope that helps.
We do offer a 10% military discount with proof of military service. Please have that information handy when making your reservation and thank you for your service.
We do rent our cabins on a long term basis yes. We also have some 2 bedroom units that we can as well. You'll have to submit an application for a background check and credit check. Please call the office to get the current rates: 352-625-4500. Thank you.
HI Catherine, we do have 2 bedroom units available. As of 3/16/2022 they rent for $299 for 2 nights, $395 for 3 nights $475/week or $1350/month. Please keep in mind that our 1 bedroom cabins also have a futon in the living room in each of them to accommodate more then 2 adults. You'll have to call the main number: 352-625-4500 and check with the manager on duty to see if there's availability for the week(s) you or your friend want to stay. Thank you.
Hi Debbie, unfortunately Ron is no longer a manager of the park. Jackie is still there and now we also have Jenna and Brian doing a wonderful job. If you must know who "runs" the park, that would be me, the owner. My managers all do a great job taking care of the residents and guests. Thank you.
We are VERY pet friendly. I even added a dog washing station on the back side of the RV Bathhouse that has hot and cold water in the raised bath tub so you don't have to bend over to wash your pets. We only take 2 dogs max and each one must be less then 30 Lbs. No cats at this time as they get very destructive to our furniture. The previous answer is also correct, we have a fenced dog run with 2 entrance gates so your pet won't get loose but you must have them leased at all times while outside. You can let them run and play with other pets there. You MUST pick up all pet droppings or be assessed a fine (there's lots of eyes watching there) no one wants to smell or step in pet droppings, Thank you.
There is a ramp to launch boats at the Kawanas Camp that's about a 1/2 mile from the park. They have a nice concrete ramp to launch your boat from.
Alright, and what about the 2 bedroom cabins?
They have wifi.. it's ok.. but don't expect to do streaming with several devices at once..
There's a restaurant right across the street forgot what it's called but it's real good home cooking . Does Walmart right down the road as well.

We have RV sites REALLY close to the lake. Most of them are approximately 200 feet away as measured by Google Earth. The furthest one from the lake is 250 feet away and the closest ones are 120 to 150 feet from the lake. Some spots you can see the lake from while others the view is blocked by one of our lake front cabins (that are 30 or so feet from the lake). Hope that helps to answer your question. David Silver (owner).
Its worth it nice place not expensive either
You will have to call ahead because that is busy season maybe a reservation is needed...
Well we have 1 bedroom cabins that we rent out by the weekend, week or month but not really long term rentals. What kind of place are you looking for and for how many people?
Yes
I believe so on a leash of course and clean up behind
We do not currently rent boats but we have insurance for that already. I'm waiting until the dock is built before I start renting boats. Launching from the shore is less then ideal and it ruins the sub surface vegetation (which the DEP doesn't like). Hopefully within a year the dock will be done and boats will be available for rent. ( 05/09/2018 = today's date )
We have cabins for rent for 2, 3, 7 days or longer (monthly if needed) and the price varies by how long you're renting. We do not take cats as we have in the past and found that ALL of them were destructive to our furniture (even the declawed ones, please don't ask). Small dogs 15 Lbs or less are welcome and no more then 2.
All guests must check in at the office no matter how long the stay. There is a $25 per nite fee for guests but it also depends on the unit and if it's allowed or not. Some units will not accommodate more then 4 people max.
The answers are correct below, the lake is as clear as other lakes (not very) and yes there are some gators in the lake as is true of almost every body of water in Florida. There is enough room to water ski, I think the lake is 250 acres so decent sized. We also own Lake Bryant Resort down the road exactly 3 miles and there is a boat ramp right there, and Lake Bryant is bigger then Mill Dam Lake. Both have gators and the water is the same clarity. Hope that helps.
