I was looking for a place for my Mother that was close to where her children live. I was told about this place by A place for Mom. I tried several times on 2 consecutive days to reach them. They have no one answering the phones so you have to leave a message. I tried several times leaving a message on the prompt for sales and scheduling a tour never receiving a call back. I even left a message on the executive directors line to no avail. So I thought I would just stop in. The scary thing is I walked right in with no greeter to find out who was there. I couldn't find anybody to speak with. I walked around and finally found someone in a office. I told her everything I had been through to get someone to give me information. She was very unhelpful just making excuses why no one had called me back. This person could of cared less. Why would I want my Mother to be in a place like this

Very unprofessional. Do not place your loved ones here.

My mother has been living here for over four years and has had a very positive experience. I could give a litany of complaints about the previous place she lived, but I would rather talk about the positives of The Addison (formerly Carillon until a year ago). The staff is caring and makes an effort to engage with the residents, including helping with ADLs that any given resident may have difficulty with. The facility is definitely nice, but as anyone who has been through parental caretaking knows, it is not the facility but the people working in it that make the difference. The new head-of-facility (Missy) is engaged, as is Sandra in the front office. Kelly (head of activities) and Amanda (current head of nursing) are all very energetic with positive attitudes.

I recently moved my mom to the Addison. I was very nervous of her coming from her home but everyone has been so wonderful. My mom had to move to the memory care. She has only been there a few weeks but mom is so happy and has made friends. Amanda and Derrick have been such a blessing to my family. They send me pictures of her every week and have arranged Zoom visits. They even had a visiting dog. All of her caregivers in the memory unit are angels. I would and have recommended their memory care to all of my friends with aging parents.
