"Convenience" sIte? They have very limited hours, and then don't even open on time. I was there at 7 AM (the posted opening time) and returned at 7:45. Still not open. Reading the other reviews, it seems this is an employee who might be better off at home. The County made it mandatory to separately recycle glass, and then made it nigh impossible to do so.

Nothing about this location is convenient. Their hours are terrible and the staff is rude and disrespectful. If you manage to get there during their extremely limited working hours, expect to be interrogated about every piece of trash and yard waste before you can dispose of anything. Then you get to guess which container to use since the attendants just want to tell you what you can't dispose of, they have no interest helping you find the appropriate bin.

Wish they would have normal hours as every other waste site. The excuse is always Covid but that’s no excuse to not be open on Saturdays. One Saturday a month does not make it easy when you may be out of town that weekend that they are open. And yes they are open M-F but unless you can get there on Tuesday or Thursday evenings before 6pm then the rest of the times are day hours which most people are working. It makes it hard for those of us that work away from the home and have to get home in traffic before 6pm to make it to the dump to take off our trash. But for some reason Covid did not effect any of the other dumps in Durham County just Parkwood yet we still pay the same cost in our property tax for services that are not to the same standard they were prior to Covid.
