We recently moved back to North Carolina from another state. A friend referred us to McClintock for help transitioning our health, auto and renter's insurance. Our agent, Turner, was incredibly knowledgable and helpful, walking us through every option and providing us with the information we needed to make the best selections for our family. Now, we have the coverage we need ... and at better rates than we previously paid! I would highly recommend McClintock Insurance Agency to anyone in the Triad or Triangle.

Don and his team have more knowledge of the insurance industry and of specific policies than any other insurance company I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend.

Questions & Answers

Do I have auto insurance coverage if I rent a vehicle?

McClintock Insurance Agency | Sep 18, 2020
McClintock Insurance Agency | Sep 18, 2020

Your auto insurance policy provides limited coverage depending on what you have. If your policy does not provide physical damage coverage for your vehicles, you will need to purchase this from the rental car company. If you DO have physical damage coverage you have coverage, subject to your deductible. However, we HIGHLY recommend you purchase the rental company’s insurance; because there are many grey areas. We recommend “Buy the coverage”, ALWAYS.

In North Carolina you have 30 days from the purchase date to add your vehicle to your auto policy or you will NOT have coverage for your newly purchased vehicle. Do not depend on the dealer to call the agent in adding your vehicle. Be sure YOU ALWAYS call your agent to add and confirm your vehicle has been added.
