After being sent out from a consulate in NYC (which is super messy and disorganized), I’ve been extremely satisfied with incomparably better services and attitude in consulate general in Boston. I had a flight in two weeks and within an hour I was able to schedule an urgent appointment in Boston. The officers are very friendly and understanding. They are even smiling! I had a couple of documents missing and I was allowed to send them by email the next day. It’s possible to pay money order by cash instead, I didn’t have to pay it in advance. All information on the website is correct and thorough. I got my visa and n 2 business days. Incredible service! Thank you so very much!

They never answer the phone, nor call you back when you leave multiple VERY urgent messages, not even emails!

I was impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of this consulate team! Staff were incredibly communicative, knowledgeable, and helpful.

I had the most excellent experience with the Consulate. They were quick to respond to my emails, were incredibly supportive through the process, and were willing to accommodate my schedule while booking and changing appointment times!

No
I’m with you someone help?
Nope
Same question ? Is there a form at the Embassy?
Not yet, Thelma. Hopefully they will allow us to do that soon.
How did you end up?
You will need your US Driver's License plus an International Drivers Permit that you can obtain from AAA. I think it costs around $15.
please refer to their website for additional detais
You would be applying through the same processes as any other person seeking a visa (there may be a decrease in residency requirements if you have provable heritage though). Regardless, citizenship would be your best option in the long run for both usability and cost.
I would suggest using the web portal next time. It's much faster than a mail-in form. However, I mailed in mine like you did, and it took about a month for it to be returned to me.
Joanne, I would recommend you to go consulate in person and explain about your situation. I booked tickets for Italy as tourist and couldnt find any availability. I went in person and I explained my situation. They were very kind and helpful and gave me a slot. Though my situation is not the same as yours, what I am trying to say is, there is a great chance to get an appointment if you go in person. I agree that everything is online and it says by appointment only but I just went in person without any appointment. Hope that helps. Good luck.
https://italiancitizenshipassistance.com/documents-requirements/ If your line is Paternal (or maternal after 1948) make an appointment at your Consulate (make the appointment now, wait times are 2-3 years), take those documents to the meeting (certified, apostilled, and translated), and if they approve you're good to go. If your line is Maternal prior to 1948, you have to go through the court system. If that is the case, I would recommend bringing ALL immediate family members on the case so everyone gets it simultaneously. Use Marco Mellone as your lawyer. He got our case approved and is very professional.
Make appointment
Been trying to reach Boston consul to clarify information about expired passport, for the last 3months. My 96yer mother has a flight booked and still don't know ho to #Renew her passport:(
Go to the Italian consulate to apply for a passport

yes, an appointment is required. You can create one online.
I think one Schengen visa would be sufficient. I would call either the French or Italian consulate to double check this.
Not yet Cinzia. You have to go in person.
You have to claim it through the consulate if you are not an Italian resident or in Italy if you are an Italian resident. It's easier in the comune in Italy, but you have to be a resident there. Houston is the best Italian consulate, so if you are moving to that consular district in the near future, I would do it there.
I think the best way is to create another log in information and remember your password this time. I suggest you use a regular password you can remember. If you have already made an appointment for July 13th with the embassy, it is adviced you call to cancel (it's really hard to get anyone on the phone at the embassy). Alternatively, you can use the forgot password link to reset your password. I hope this helps Gabriel
Are you an Italian citizen? If you're an Italian citizen you can apply for your Italian passport there
Where were you born? Frosinone
