I’m trying to find out the fastest way to get an Irish passport ( I am a dual citizen living in MA)before I travel to Ireland in September. Spoke with head of Irish consulate who informed me that everything now as far as application has to be done on line. She was very abrupt and dismissive. I tried to explain that on line site was very confusing and would not provide info I needed. She repeated that application needed to be done online .Gone are the days when you can apply in person( due to the dreaded plague). Whatever happened to Irish hospitality?Im more than disappointed, as I wanted to travel this time on an Irish Passport.

Absolutely miserable experience. Went in to get information on filing as a foreign birth. They treat anyone that walks in with questions like an absolute nuisance, despite it being their job. Next time I'll make the drive to New York.

I’m hoping to travel to Ireland this summer I’m fully vaccinated , do I have to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days?

I have the same question as above. I need to know if the 2-week quarantine is in effect for fully quarantined visitors. I have dual citizenship with the US and Ireland. Thank you.

I am a American citizen (living in the US) born to an irish parent in England. My question is, may I apply for an Irish Passport through the consular office in Boston? May I go in person to the office and apply? Thank you. Bernard Lennon

Yes You have Irish birth rights as a citizen as long as 1 parent was born in Ireland. I'm in the process now.

To whom it may concern, Some years ago I applied for, and was granted, Irish citizenship. I am now retired, living on savings and my husband's and my Social Security. Would I be allowed to move to Ireland? perhaps rent or buy a home there? Thank you

As long as you are Irish citizens there is no reason why you can't move there and buy a house. You can still collect your Social Security while residing there.
