My favorite restaurant!! I have been coming here for 18 years. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. It's much more of a relaxed experience than just a quick bite. Order an appetizer for while you wait. The aloo tikki and samosas are awesome. I always have to have the murgh Makhani, but I've had the masala, korma, vindaloo, kadhai, and the mixed grill. Between the salad, little chips, and our appetizers we are practically full by the time the food arrives. Luckily my leftovers make a mighty fine breakfast the next day-if I haven't already had them for a midnight snack!

Yesterday, I came here with my roommate to dine-in. We both have come to this place on and off. The food is fresh and average tasting. We just wanted to have starters but were told that for dine-in, we have to order individual dinner items or else we have to do a take out. It feels like a weird rule given we were not that hungry and the portion size of dinner is more than what an average person could eat alone, but whatever since we anyway traveled this much so we both ordered “individual”items. When the bill came, we saw that the waitress has already added the 18% tip by herself. We asked her about the same and she tells us that it is the new rule. I ask her if it is written somewhere, she responds that they don’t have it written anywhere but the owner has made this rule recently. “We were not informed about this rule before!” The waitress apologized for not informing us. This felt very unreasonable. I googled the gratuity rules for the restaurants and the automatic addition of including 15-20% tip is usually when there is a party of at least 6 people and it should be communicated beforehand. We usually leave a good tip but all this felt so unreasonable and unfair given there wasn’t any prior communication by the waitress. (Already expecting a very rude response from the owner seeing the previous reviews but I am open to surprises!)

NEVER WILL I RETURN TO THIS PLACE AFTER THE OWNER INSULTED MY FAMILY AND I. STORY TIME: Original review rating was 3 stars from few years ago. I came in with family four months ago and took few pics of food and updated pics on google, food was average so did not update 3 star review. The owner was not happy and replied to my old review/new pics... which you can see below. Today, my family decided to give them another chance, and took two out of town guests with us. Total party of eight. We ordered food for my five year old first as he was very hungry. The owner comes out confronts us about our review and was very rude. He proceeds to tell us, he was not happy about the 3 star review and doesn't know how to help us. I have never walked out of a restaurant, especially with my five year old crying because he was hungry. And I rarely give any restaurant 1 star reviews as all restaurants may have bad days, but this was a CHOICE by the OWNER. We rushed 5 mins away to STAR OF INDIA who were closing at 8pm. We reached 8:05, the waiter was very polite and told us they were closed, but asked the kitchen if they could accommodate us. Two minutes later we were seated and placing our orders. This is service! PREVIOUS OLD REVIEW BELOW: Food was overspiced, with little to no taste. I've had better experiences in the past at this restaurants. Mango lassi was like water... maybe the cook/owner was having a bad day.

The food here is delicious, but the service is horrid! This was my second time here and each time the staff fails to provide even basic hospitality. …Your group of ten people had reservations at 8 pm.Yor group didn't come after 8:30 .We wanted you to order before certain time so we can serve you in a decent time .You can enjoy the food and we can go home in a decent time. Please don't exaggerate that it took one hour for the food.We cook every thing fresh and all 10 dishes were different try cooking for your party at home this food see how many hours you will be spending in kitchen! You can share all the dishes in your group. We have no objection on that.No of people in the table has to be the no of dinners, other wise we charge split charge for dining at our facility. You can do take-out and share with how many ways you want. We don't have any say. Have a nice evening. Thank.

They do. Lunch is a buffet, so you must go, in package your own from what's available, and pay by the pound. If it's dinner, you order off the menu and pay the prices shown.
