We decided to investigate trading in our large SUV for a hybrid and reached out to the folks at Folsom Lake Kia via the contact form on their website. We received a speedy reply from a Sales Rep named Matt. After setting up an appointment for a test drive we drove to the dealership where Matt introduced us to another Sales Rep (Caesar) as he was busy with another customer (he indicated in advance that he may have a conflict at that time). It was refreshing to see a car salesman willing to pass us off to another associate instead of making us wait so that he could garner the commission. Caesar was highly knowledgeable and extremely service-oriented. He was straight-forward and did not try to process us through a litany of standard sales scripts, which I greatly appreciated but, instead listened to our concerns and needs and respected our time. In the end we were able to get the vehicle we wanted, at the price we wanted and the value we expected for our trade-in! Then came the part I always dread the most - filling out the paperwork with the dreaded FINANCE GUY (in this case, a gentleman named Matt Fernhoff)!!! To my amazement, he also did not try to run me through a series of potentially disastrous scenarios in an attempt to upsell a bunch of add-ons but rather calmy laid out my options and accepted the answers I gave him regarding what I did/did not want. I have probably bought 20 or more cars at dealerships in my life and this was FAR AND AWAY the best experience I have ever had! I highly recommend this dealership.

Excellent attentive service and not pushy at all. Tim and Andy were always helpful and responsive. So happy with my new Telluride.

Hello everyone, i hope this review comes in handy and helps make your decisions with who to trust with your car. I took my kia niro in a few months ago for its oil change. This past week i was driving down the highway and the oil pressure bottomed out. I had to have my car towed to a kia dealer in reno after 2 hrs of sitting waiting for kia roadside to find a tow. I had to pay for my own tow because kia raodside was to lazy to call a local company in the area for customer service. I was told to leave my car overnight as if that is safe at all. But i did call a local company after yhe 2 hrs and had a tow within 15 minutes. Oh course i had to pay $500 out of pocket that ill never see again. To continue turns out the oil plug was left loose and fell out driving down the highway. The reno dealership told me no damage woild be cover through the warranty at all and i need to pay $4500 just to open the engine and look around. This is my first kia. I can truly say ill never own another. The warranty and customer service here and apparently all other KIA locations is less than sub par. I have owned many vehicles had countless oil changes and have never had an issue like this. I spoke with a service rep this morning to find iut if folsom would cover the damages and no one has gotten back to me yet. Ill update with the result but at this time. My advice is dont buy a kia and if you have one. Go anywhere else for service. Im honestly so disappointed with KIA. The only answer im getting is oh this is your problem, deal with it. The service rep from reno didnt offer to call the folsom lacation to speak with them as it would be faster im sure, since they are in the kia family. No, no assistance whatsoever. I have never allowed a vehicle to go back to the dealer but today might be a new day were i do. Thats how frustrating the customer service and customer care is at kia apparently. Its like the new kia Slogan is "Buy our cars and pay for them but when we screw up its your fault". At this time the worste company in my mind to purchase a car with. I have never had such a bad car experience in my life. Hoping it gets better but i dont have much hope. Im updating my post. The folsom location ended up taking great care of me and my car. Things did start a little rocky but we came to a solution im happy with! The team came through for me and id like to personally thank Doug for taking great of me and my car!
