Great trail. Well marked, well paved, and wide. Some undulations but generally mild slopes. A few spots near the dam steep for a nonalthletic wheel chair or baby stroller but one can get by with a little help from a friend or use alternate entrances.

Our teens and I went for an 18-mile ride in March. The trail is flat and easy, great for exercise or a family outing. People along the trail waved at us as we rode by, making it the friendliest bike trail we have ever encountered. It was a beautiful day, but everything was dormant so there wasn't much to see. We saw a few birds, but had hoped to see more wildlife. Wildflowers were few and far between. From some vents, there is a sewer smell, and the river looks dirty. I wouldn't get into the water myself.

Great outdoor experience for the whole family(2 and 4legged members).

Where the bathrooms are.
The parking lot is generally empty. I think you shouldn't have a problem depending on the size of the RV
I was just there yesterday and didn't happen to see any near the entrance. I'll check again closer the next time I go in the next couple days
No it doesnt close at 5
I don't think so. The website doesn't say, but I don't believe any motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail.
Yes it is a dog friendly trail. Dogs do have to be leashed but can be in a bicycle cart or walking.
"the Bike Guy", up at falls dam entrance to the trail.
I would suggest a pond or lake. Too much silt in the river for good fishing.
I believe they are property of City of Raleigh and there are "No Trespassing" signs posted. They use the sunflower oil for fuel
Yes, all the way.
Yes. I found it to be so.
They planted them on Dix campus this year because people kept violating the regulations.
You can rent bikes from "the bike guy" he is located at the beginning of the trail on old falls of the Neuse.
I don't believe there are plans to have any paved trail (like the Neuse River Trail) going above and past the dam. However, the Falls Lake hiking trail goes along the entire length of the lake above the dam. This trail is part of the North Carolina Mountains to Sea Trail.
