This is a very nice trail. The trail is paved, which makes it easy to walk. The bridges are very nice with beautiful views of the Neuse River. It gets busy on the weekends, but during the week it is not very busy. I would certainly recommend the trail.

I have not rode the whole trail yet, but if it is more like what I have traveled so far it's beautiful. There is always someone else on the trail as well. There are also a bunch of dirt trails, some for walking and some for biking. Lots of …

Polluted water. Me and my mom went here to hike because the review seemed the highest here, but the water smells horrible, like runoff and chemical pollution. We didn't know why, but then saw the sign saying there is a water treatment plant nearby. We kept walking and saw a sign that says "reclaimed water, do not drink". So the smell must be coming from runoff from the agricultural fields using bad practices. To me, the whole path in this area stinks and smella eapecially bad near the water around certain areas of the bridge. I am from out of state and the water doesn't smell like this in other places. This is a very polluted area, not healthy to be hiking, running, biking, or exercising around.

The Mial Plantation Rd. trailhead is not conducive to launching a kayak. The were several spots south that had River access but I do not know their names.
Not sure if there's any regulation saying you can't, but I think the only kind of metal you'd find here are aluminum cans and stray fishing hooks.
No.
