Do not under any circumstances move your family in here. The one man cleaning crew likes to mop the floor at 5 in the afternoon and when me and my grandmother(who has polio, and walks with a walker) come in she asks why they are mopping so late and the cleaning guy starts to argue and yell at her. He told her she should have CALLED before she came back to her apartment. These people are SO unbelievably disrespectfull. All of them should be replaced.

This is long, but I hope you take the time to read it if you are considering moving to Summit Grove. This is just a warning to others. First, I will say it was a great place for my mom to live. She lived there for 7 years and loved it. In June of this year we had to put my mom in a memory care facility and we gave notice on the 9th of June. We got everything moved out and I turned the keys in on June 23rd even though our 30 days was not until July 9th (my mistake there). I had the electricity taken out of her name on July 2nd (I figured no one was living there so why not). I paid her final bill with the electric company and then a few weeks later we get a bill from Summit Groves for the electric bill (not to the electric company, but to Summit Groves) saying we owed them $41.84 for the electric bill. $6.84 was for electric from July 4th – July 8th. I was okay paying this since really our 30 days was July 9th (even though no one said anything about leaving the electric bill in her name until the 9th or I certainly would have). Then they were charging us $35.00 for a recovery fee. I was told the recovery fee was because we turned off (even though it was not actually turned off) early. On the bill it has the recover fee charge from 7/4/18-7/26/18. It sounds to me like they are wanting us to pay for the time they did not have a renter. So, if you live there and go to move out make sure you leave the electricity in your name until the last day of your 30 days. I just don’t want anyone else getting ripped off paying a $35 recovery fee like my mom did. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
