Well, individual stores are now showing next Monday, May 31st, as having hours of 11 am to 7 pm. Instead of closed which is what its said since mid March. All my local stores in So California show this. So here's hoping...

Between a 45 min phone call and dealing with this problem here is how it works. You take the broken part(s) into your local Ikea. They use either your receipt or your family card number to look up the transaction. They then have you wait while they pull a new box out and give you a new piece straight from a box.

The cashiers have plexiglass separation from you and they wipe down everything between each transaction. Walking through the store means going through a crowd of people and sometimes the aisles are somewhat narrow. So wear a mask and do what you can to maintain distance from others.

Now due to the restrictions for "covid" the store is not doing store to store transfers. Also it depends on the item due to high demand or popularity.

Either you can do it yourself or on the Ikea website there's a 3rd party company called Task Rabbit. If available in your zip code it gives you a quote online and then you need to schedule an appointment. I was told by an Ikea employee they come to your house to assemble.

Good evening, I'm not sure what their hours of operation are for this coming week. They were open last week when I went there. I googled their hours so I would suggest that you try that first. You could also call. I hope this is helpful

Ikea has been horrible with customer service during this period. Long wait for delivery, they can't answer a call for the life of them, cant email about anything besides cancelations. I even tried calling their corporate customer service line and never heard from them. I paid for delivery and got 2 broken units and they sent the wrong color unit as well. There are TONS of people filing complaints on BBB and writing about it on Yelp. Ikea dropped the ball badly and just left us high and dry.
