Between a 45 min phone call and dealing with this problem here is how it works. You take the broken part(s) into your local Ikea. They use either your receipt or your family card number to look up the transaction. They then have you wait while they pull a new box out and give you a new piece straight from a box.
Yeah all of thos ideas are good that i was gonna say one of them
Depends on how many pieces were damaged or missing. I would take only the damaged pieces back and ask them to replace it. Just bring your reciept with you.
Same here - only took back the damaged part. Ask them for something to help relieve the stress and inconvenience you had to go through to return the defective part that was holding up putting your furniture together... ;o)
I have personally taken parts only back and they have replaced them of they have them in stock....
Need extra screws got wrong size.
eBay?
I called and they delivered to my house the parts I needed, did not need to drive back to the store
This is why IKEA has a customer service number for addressing such problems/concerns.
If you are able, take the whole thing back and they'll likely replace it all, or get you the replacement part you need. At the Covina store, the returns area is at the left-hand (West) end of the same concourse that the checkouts are on.
