I went to Sugar House Alteration to get my wedding dress altered since it was too long, needing a hem and better fit. I wasn't aware of the alteration cost when buying my wedding dress, and the seamstress was honest in saying that due to the intricate beadwork (top of my dress) and buttons down the back, the price won't be cheap. However, she was able to alter and hem everything to fit me just right for a decent price. I was able to fit and wear the dress just twice before taking it home to wear for the big day. They are straightforward and great to work with, and always ask your input before making a change. On my second visit, I brought in my veil and they were able to add pearls to make it more elegant (photo attached). She spent hours placing them by hand and I appreciated her care and effort. Although some of the pearls fell out while taking pictures or moving, the veil overall looked so beautiful with the pearls on it. I would recommend them for your dress alteration needs - be very specific about what you'd like to alter and the pricing. Great to work with, professional, and fast at their job!

I have come to this shop multiple times to get clothes altered. I’ve had pants hemmed to the perfect length and just recently I got a bridesmaids dress altered for a friends wedding. Everything was done in a timely manner for a great price. If I ever need anything altered I will always come here!

Sugar House Alteration has been my go-to for alterations for several year now. I've had them alter slacks and jeans, repair seams and wear, and work on a couple custom projects as well. They're fairly priced, do good work, and have always delivered on time.
