I stayed in the TLF rooms while PCS'ing and they were just ok. I've stayed in TLF in a few other bases (Vandenberg and Minot to name a couple) that were a good deal nicer, and bigger, than Malmstrom's. It isn't to say Malmstrom's TLF rooms are awful or not comfortable, just by comparison they are lacking in regards to a TLF room. It isn't one or two major things, it seemingly was a lot of small issues. The wifi was pretty poor. It may have been where my room was located, but again, experiences with other TLF lodging was overall much better. The hot water runs out after a couple minutes (certainly less than 5 min) and your left with barely room temp water. Good luck if you want to fill up a nice hot bath. The TV's are small, even for a hotel/TLF, and the ones in the bedrooms do not even work properly. The staff is really exceptional and helpful though. Anything you need, or questions you have, they can assist you with.

The staff were very professional and the facilities are well kept. The room seems more like a one bedroom apartment than a standard TLF/lodging. Bed is firm and comfy, the 3 sperate heat & A/C units worked great (a bit loud when they start/turn on), internet is quick and it's right across the street from the commissary and shoppette/class 6/gas station. My room was very equestrian centric. I'm not sure if the other rooms are similar, but mine was centered around "Miss Rodeo Montana 2002", Kande Ellis. It'd be cool if each room was sponsored by a different rodeo champion. Awesome facilities to stay in while TDY here!

This place was so dirty! The floor and counters felt sticky, all doors had stains on them. I had to take two towels from the kitchen, put some water and soap on them and scrub the floors, and wipe the counters with my own wipes. We stayed during the pandemic and I was really worried, as this place didn’t seemed cleaned or disinfected at all. There’s no other word to describe it, it was gross! Those towels and wipes I used turned out brown! My husband called asking for a mop and they said that the housekeeper was at his/her break, but even after an hour or so, no one ever showed up with a mop or whatsoever. Later, they explained that the person that “cleaned” the room was on training... Who needs to be trained to do a good mop and wipe down everything? They apologized and stated that “those are were not their standards”. I shared my experience with a friend that had stayed here before and she told me she had the same or worse experience. Avoid this place! Stay elsewhere!

Would love to give more stars as the pet TLF is in great shape and one of the nicest tlf's we've stayed at in 20 years of service, however when we opened the sofa bed so my son could get ready for bed, the sheets had not been changed as there was dog hair and dirt all over the sheets. There was also no extra linens or pillows provided for the sofa bed. After having to go back to the front desk for these items that should have been provided to begin with, the front desk clerk clearly did not care that the sheets had not been changed or that linens/pillows were not provided. Disappointed that we can't give it 5 stars.
