First Command has set me on a financial path to prepare me for retirement and allow me to live a comfortable lifestyle. Joe, and his team of advisors have made sure to pay attention to my goals to tailor a plan just for me! Their attention to detail and caring efforts are beyond comparable! I never imagined having an investing profile, or a plan for retirement; thanks to Joe I do and if my life plans change we can adjust my financial plan to accommodate. If you're looking for a financial advisor, First Command!

First Command in Jacksonville has helped me gain confidence in creating my financial goals. First of all, I would like to say that prior to working with my advisor, I had ZERO knowledge of managing money, and this team has been extremely supportive and patient with helping me set realistic financial goals. I have an amazing advisor, Meagan, but I have also had help from Holly, Walt, and Joe Spencer because they genuinely wanted to give me advice when I had (silly) questions. I feel extremely confident in working with this team, and their support staff is very organized and timely. Thank you all so much for what you do, I have learned so much by doing business with First Command! Everyone needs a financial advisor, even if it’s just to get your goals organized. I truly trust and respect this team.

Seven months ago first command made a response to my initial post that was created years ago. Not only have they never followed out as they said they would, they have done nothing to rectify the situation. I did bring the issue up to management when it happened. Instead of helping me, they canceled all of my future appointments and refused to book me. Not because I had spoken to legal council, but because I said that if the situation wasn't corrected I would need to. If you value your money, do NOT go to this branch. I have since cut my losses. Oh how I wish my first adviser had never left.

Joseph Spencer is the most unprofessional pompous "professional" I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. He was condescending, rude, and had difficulty making and keeping appointments with me. I had Dina Becker as a financial advisor before she moved and that woman was a saint. She was helpful, explained everything very well, and always kept constant communication. Having her as a financial advisor appears to have spoiled me. I was given to Mr. Spenser in conjunction with a her move and a seperation from my ex husband. He seemed very uninterested in working with me because I don't make him enough money. He was much more interested in boasting of his own wealth, his multimillion dollar life insurance policies and how many other clients he has than actually assisting me with my needs. He neglected to comply with our property and financial settlement agreement until I threatened to speak with his manager and to seek legal council. This ultimately ended up in me loosing thousands of dollars after months of trying to work with him and set up apointments. At which point instead of fixing his mistakes, he pawned me off on another financial advisor without another word. When we went over the notes that were written, we could clearly see that he had went back after I told him I was going above his head and he added remarks, which was unintelligent on his part as these are set in the order in which you write them, not the order they should have been in if he had done what he was supposed to from the begening, they are time stamped and were clearly added afterwards. I am a Marine Corps veteran who was fortunate enough to find a very good job after getting out. I am not someone who doesnt work who is trying to mooch off of their husband. The dollars I have put into those accounts have been hard earned and I feel terrible for anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation. Long story short, if you care about your financial future and arent making this man enough money in his eyes, please beware.
