This place is majestic. People make a big deal about scenery and what tails too take for what views and maximizing utility when it comes to exploring a hike or natural landscape. To these folks, I say, "chill out" - it's nature. Enjoy it the way you want to. Greybeard mountain lets you do you. Drive up, hike up, or bike up, it's going to be there, it's going to be beautiful.

Quite a beautiful, if challenging hike from the overlook to Douglas Falls in the valley below. Maybe a dozen switchbacks take you down the mountain along a narrow and slippery trail - definitely not an experience for the elderly or those without a real sense of adventure and half a day to spend. But the beautiful, untouched forest surroundings can make it worth your time.

If you go northbound on the mountain to Sea trail you'll see this crazy pile of sticks about a 15-minute walk in.
